The Shanghai EDITION, is a unique and innovative hotel concept that is authentic, modern and personalized. This next generation urban luxury retreat is not merely a hotel, but an elegantly designed, intricately interlinked complex of structures, spaces, and settings that together offer a new kind of environment. An oasis of relaxed entertainment and comfort at the heart of one of the world’s most populous cities, The Shanghai EDITION’s style is naturally tailored to its guests’ needs and desires all under one roof. It encompasses a radical, living elegance that resonates with all generations. Invisible design done with honesty and conviction. The Shanghai EDITION is located at the northeast corner of Nanjing Road East and Henan Road in Puxi, West of Huangpu River on The Bund. Located at the core of the Bund Historical and Cultural Landscape Area, it is the origin of Shanghai's reputation as "a global architecture exposition". Its heritage buildings, many of them in the Beaux Arts style, date from 1920 to 1936, as the Bund developed into a major financial centre of Asia. We had one of the most outstanding "HOSPITALITY" experiences of our lives during our 2 nights at the Shanghai EDITION Hotel. The location of the hotel is ideal, located on the main shopping street. Just a few steps to the Bund, which is an unparalleled experience, especially in the evening illumination. It has a special atmosphere. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a bathroom with both shower and bath. The view from the room's large windows is unrivalled. Yet, what was even more striking was the extraordinary helpfulness and attentiveness of the staff. Throughout our stay we felt important and they looked for ways to make our stay easy, comfortable and enjoyable. I would recommend the bar on the 26th floor, the view is wonderful. The roof terrace is also special, but the cold winter weather during our stay did not allow us to enjoy it, but even at this time of year it should not be missed for a few panoramic photos.
