Pilar, what an amazing host! She helped us with organising our days in Amazon, she cooked for us breakfast and dinner, every day a different recipy so that we can try different local dishes. The good energy and effort she puts to make the guests feel comfortable is amazing.
Overall the rooms are super clean and are cleaned every day. Location is nice because it is further in the jungle compared to Leticia but still reachable within reasonable time (20-30mins) by car

Breakfast was absolutely excellent. The owner was absolutely lovely and very friendly. They also recommended Alex the guide who took me out to lake Tarapoto, the sloth island, an excellent night walk and to a local village all for an excellent price. Even with him only speaking Spanish and my grasp of the language being very little, we still had excellent conversation and he was great company. Would highly recommend this Refugio Maiku Puerto Nariño as a place from which to launch your Amazon adventures.

Big thank you to Carlos and Zoraida. Eware was a very relaxed place to stay. All the activities were super easy to organise and we had some incredible experiences on the tours. Carlos is one of the few people who speak English in the area which was a massive help as our Spanish was a bit hit and miss.

Our first time in Leticia and we were pleased when we walked into the hotel to see how much open lounging/BF space there was. The hotel is on the outside of the town meaning that it is very quiet. Of course, this means that you have to walk 10 minutes into town. The lounge area was cool and relaxed and free cold and hot water for tea and coffee on offer.

Ideally located in Leticia, the hotel is very nicely decorated and has a great garden where you can relax, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated, very nice staff

Lovely hotel, great breakfast (buffet) and a good location to explore Leticia. The staff is very friendly and will help you with whatever you need, rooms are also very clean and spacious!

Lovely location, basic rooms/facilities but sufficient for a few days stay. Great swimming pool that helped with the heat. Breakfast was lovely and we paid extra for dinner and evening meals, all prices were very cheap. They offered lots of tours although our Spanish is not good enough to take advantage of them. They currently have a Manatee in their lake rehabilitating and will be released back into the Amazon in June :-) The town is accessible by boat or 30 minute walk in Wellies

The adventure hike to this place in the middle of the jungel. They offer activities. We did a night tour and fruit tour. Both were nice, but unfortunately in Spanish. The wifi was good, although we didn't really want to be online while there. There is a tower with an amazing view, but it was a bit scary with two people and not sure if it so safe to climb up. The shower are cold, but in the hot climate what I prefer. Surrounding calm and relaxing. Lovely cats and dogs 😊
