What makes it an exceptional place to stay though is the staff that are so friendly, polite and accommodating to anything you can imagine. An amazing location with a gorgeous private beach and beautiful swimming pool very close to the beach. The resort’s design is very impressive fitting into the wonderful nature surrounding it including natural hills and olive groves. We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was very luxurious, comfortable and close to everything. We had a wonderful stay. We very highly recommend this place.

Kastro Maini is located in the heart of the historic Areopolis, in central Mani. The traditional stone-built building features a pool with hydromassage and a pool for children.

Accommodation at Kastro Maini consists of well-furnished, spacious rooms with traditional iron beds. The private balconies have view to the gulf of Messiniakos or to the southern part of the Mount of Taygetos, called Sagias. I had a lovely room with a wonderful sea view which captured perfect sunsets so was very happy with that outlook. The room and bathroom were both an adequate size with a little balcony with excellent drying facilities for wet bathers. The pool and area around it were spacious and very relaxing. The gardens were beautifully maintained. Breakfast had a wide choice and all well presented. An excellent stay and won't hesitate to book again if in that area.

At the hotel's dining area a buffet breakfast with local flavours is served. The area is used as a restaurant for the rest of the day. The breakfast was great. Served in the restaurant. They had a nice buffet. The Hotel is situated on a hill overlooking Limeni so it's not in Areopoli which is a few minutes drive away, Limeni is really nice for dinners. Areopoli is nice for strolling and history. The hotel is stunning with an infinity pool and beautiful rooms. I almost didn't want to write this review because their prices are going to keep going up as they get busier. But they deserve it.
