It almost felt like there were no other people around; it was super quiet and relaxing. Breakfast and dinner were great, with a variety of dishes to try. The chocolate ice cream was delicious. They clean your room daily and also change the towels. But the true gem of this hotel is the staff! Gabriella, the receptionist, was so helpful and her English was excellent. She always went out of her way to help us and greeted every guest with a smile. Hotel Barrico, Gabriella is a keeper, get that girl a promotion or something :) I'd advise everyone to go to this hotel because it's very relaxing and in such a beautiful and quiet area.

A buffet breakfast is served each morning and guests can benefit from the half board service with à la carte dining in the property's own restaurant. The location was so close to our walking tour of the city - very central to everything. After 2 weeks in Europe, and one meal at a Michellin star restaurant, this was the next best meal ever!!! The duck was outstanding!!! We ate on a Viking ship with really good meals and many good restaurants, but our entire dinner here was outstanding, plus the little dining area was precious. We wish we could have stayed longer and would recommend this charming boutique hotel to anyone wanting a true Eger/Hungarian experience!

The hotel has a spa centre and hot tub. The on-site Avalon Ristorante offers Italian dishes, like pizza made in a wood-fired oven. The hotel room was excellent, equipped with everything a couple might need during their stay. The breakfast was abundant and everything was very delicious. The hotel complex has several à la carte restaurants, and a particular advantage is that you can charge the meals to your room. The presence of a go-kart track within the complex was the ultimate highlight, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The wellness area was clean, and during our visit, it was used by few people, making it perfect.
