The resort boasts a large fitness centre, pool and a sauna. It is 20 minutes from the Mulu Airport by car. Beautiful hotel and its surroundings . Spacious room and comfortable bed. Free shuttle to airport and National Park. I had a nice surprise on return from our morning excursion , they decorated my room with Birthday cards and balloons and a towel birthday cake on the bed as well as a chocolate birthday cake too !! All the excursions booked through the hotel start from within the hotel and with lunch and snack and a smaller group. The price is more expensive than the excursions from the National Park but it is definitely worth it.

Located off the coast of Borneo on Gaya Island, Bunga Raya Island Resort & Spa features spacious villas with a private balcony. The resort boasts an outdoor pool and 3 dining options. Free WiFi is accessible from the villas. Very beautiful location. Everything is in very good shape. There is a lot of stuff to do in the resort even with bad weather pool, ping pong, some table games. And for outdoor some hiking, snorkeling , swimming. The food was excellent (the best we had in our trip to Malaysia) There is a lot of fauna too which was very magical. Monitor lizards, hornbills, monkeys and more. But the best of all is the staff. Everyone was incredibly gentle and always ready to make the guest feel taken care of.

The staff at this family-run hotel went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was super clean and bathroom spacious and luxurious. We enjoyed a complimentary foot soak which was amazing after having climbed Mt Kinabalu. There is a lift which is convenient for moving luggage up to the room.

Activities can be arranged at the tour desk on site. Really friendly and helpfull staff. Especially the gentleman working as a concierge by the luggage) in the daytime - he should be promoted. We only met extremely friendly staff.

Great team and wonderful to interact with. Hats off to their professionalism. We had an amazing time for 3 days at the resort and Sampan Bar. Keep up the good work. The Magellan Sutera Resort is large property popular with families, groups, and couples. Staff were professional and very helpful. The rooms (ours was sea view, king) are spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The pool area is beautiful and very popular with children, and there is a small beach to access the sea. There are several restaurants to choose from with very good food options. The breakfast buffet (included) was tasty, varied and plentiful. The view from the open-air breakfast area was truly tropical.
