Guests at The Reef Island Resort Mactan, Cebu can enjoy a buffet breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, spacious, well-equipped, and felt freshly renovated. We had a sea view, which we absolutely loved. Breakfast was excellent, despite going late each morning, nothing felt picked over and the variety was impressive, with fresh and tasty options including meats, fruits, and local dishes. The hotel has three restaurants, and the food in all of them was delicious, especially the traditional Filipino cuisine at The Grounds. The beach area is small, but it wasn’t crowded during our stay, so we had a great time. You can borrow coral shoes for free and rent snorkeling gear, which was a nice bonus. We also visited The Spa and really enjoyed the massage. For the price, no other Mactan hotel we considered came close in terms of service and facilities.

Cozy bed, great room, facilities and staff were amazing.

Despite an early morning arrival due to a delayed flight (and a subsequent late check-in), the staff at Belmont Hotel were incredibly accommodating. They not only allowed me to check into my room upon arrival but also kindly extended my stay until 1pm. This flexibility was greatly appreciated, as it gave me enough time to rest and freshen up after my journey. The room itself was a highlight - clean, spacious, and well-maintained, it provided a comfortable retreat. Overall, Belmont Hotel Mactan is an excellent choice for travelers seeking convenience, comfort, and exceptional service in Cebu.

Dairy-free and gluten-free options can also be requested. The service was great, from the time we landed. The hotel picked us up at the airport and it was just soft living from there. We arrived early and they prepared a room for us, which was wonderful. The views are insane, with a gorgeous infinity pool and beach access. Over the weekend, it's a vibe, with lots of activity and music. There is a lot to do, and you don't really have much excuse to leave the resort. The food options are out of this world and the breakfast is a MUST.

The Amuma Spa at the Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort also offers a hair and the Spa Cafe and Juice Bar. We stayed at Bluewater Maribago as a family with two little boys (2 years and 2 months, and 5 months old), right after a long journey from Germany—and it was exactly what we needed. We originally booked 3 nights but extended to 4 because it was just the perfect place to adjust to the climate and recover. The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and incredibly family-friendly. The pools were a big hit with the kids, and while we didn’t swim much at the beach, our toddler spent hours happily playing in the sand. That kind of distraction made everything easier for us as parents. The food was outstanding—we had the breakfast and dinner buffet daily at Allegro Restaurant and loved the variety and quality. But what really made this stay special was the staff. The resort’s core value, Amuma (a Bisaya word meaning to pamper or care), isn’t just a slogan—it’s something you feel in every interaction. Big thanks to Joyce and the welcoming team at the Allegro entrance, Jeff and Richell from the juice bar who took great care of us in the afternoons, and especially Carlos at the kinilaw buffet, who we saw more than once step through a potted plant (literally) to help guests at the nearby self-service station. That kind of extra effort and warmth was everywhere. If you’re arriving in Cebu with kids—or just need a peaceful, genuine place to land—this is it. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and truly cared for.

The room I stayed in was poolside and it was fantastic. Very clean, cold aircon and comfortable beds. The 24/7 food room service options is a huge bonus as well. It’s very convenient that it is so close to the airport also.
