Boasting full-day security, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The guest house also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. What an absolute delight to stay at Die Tuishuise. We had no idea of the history of it all - so were surprised and delighted to discover everything when we got there. Such a delight to meet Lisa, and to have her share a bit of the history and story with us. We were very lucky to get to go through a bunch of the houses, to see how each one was decorated and styled. Every single one is an absolute joy! We had an excellent dinner at the hotel - and loved chatting to Amos who also shared lots of interesting stories about the establishment. This is definitely a place and space that deserves more than just an overnight stay, as a stop off en-route somewhere. We will definitely be back to spend a weekend at least!

Bike hire is available at the property and the area is popular for horse riding. You can engage in various activities such as game drives, bush picnics, cycling trails, hiking trails, clay pigeon shooting or just relaxing at the rim flow pool. I loved everything, the staff they did their utmost best. The Chefs outdid themselves. From the scrumptious breakfast to dinner. They know how to host their visitors, all of them have a great camera skills. If you want tranquility, peace, beautiful sunsets by the pool, I recommend this one. Beautiful views all around, the scenery. Their game drive so educational. Saw lots of animals.

A clean ,practical & comfortable apartment - lovely views , with a fabulous breakfast served next door from 8-10 am . This also serves as a restaurant with an upmarket gift shop with wonderful views and helpful staff - just check the restaurant is open re evening meals as it’s seasonal but highly recommended . Car parking is free , open but quiet & safe . . A lovely experience and they spoilt us by giving us a complimentary upgrade super apartment with river mouth views. Thank you !

The historic Royal St. Andrews Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre is located in Port Alfred. The hotel has an outdoor pool, a state-of-the art conference centre and offers free high-speed WiFi throughout. The bathroom was excellent. Great tub, and a very large bathroom.

The spa offers a variety of massages and beauty treatments. Other facilities at River Bend Lodge include a shared lounge, a library and an outdoor pool with sun loungers. The grounds were really beautiful with cottages surrounding artfully landscaped grounds that were filled with birdsong. The chef was truly excellent and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. Our park ranger, Paul MacKenzie, was outstanding. He knew the wildlife really well and had many tales from his interesting life. Rafa, one of the elephants blessed us with his presence at the gate on the day of our game drive and were fortunate to spend a lot of time with one of the lions. The Park concession was very good because it gave us long views. In contrast, during our solo drive from the bottom of Addo to the top, there was large bush obscuring views. I found the staff at River Bend to be really friendly and enjoyed my many conversations with them, particularly time spent talking to Jenna. I also enjoyed talking to Gladys, who worked in the kitchen. She and I share an interest in sewing with Shweshwe. We highly recommend River Bend. It is truly a 5 star experience.
