The staff is very lovely and supportive - they helped me a lot with tour and even my Chinese sim card. The room was big and comfortable. The view was amazing. I also really liked that the inn is placed in a calm small village, with coffee and restaurants. Very nice!

Our host, David, was amazing. He really made sure we had everything we needed the whole stay. You can order food and sit out on the outside eating area right next to the lake, and it’s such a vibe! They play music and have lanterns and a couple of cats for some snuggles. The dumplings were so so tasty, and the chicken we ordered was one of the best things we’ve had in China! We booked a tour of Ruyi peak through the hostel and David made sure everything was sorted for us. Him and his family made it feel like home; the room was nice and the bed was so comfy! The aircon was a nice change from the street temperature and the basic amenities worked a treat for us as we didn’t need much.

The hotel vibes are relaxing and comfortable, the view of my room is beautiful! The facilities are clean and well-maintained and I had an enjoyable night here. Its location is near the city center so it is very convenient to travel to different tourist attractions in Guilin. The owner of this hotel is very kind and she takes care of my needs. Her garden is gorgeous and I like it so much, strongly recommend you guys to visit it if you will come to this hotel. I will choose Camphor Country House again when I visit Guilin next time, and I will book few more days :)

Amazing staff. They were incredibly accommodating and helped with everything i needed. It was my first stop in China and i dont speak Chinese, so that i had the hostel staff help me with booking, transportation and finding things were incredibly helpful.

It was great! I had a very good time at this hostel. The staff speaks very good english and is very helpful with everything. Special thanks to zoey who helped me solving an issue i had at shenzhen station!! You can also book tours in the hostel (e.g li river cruise) and get recommondations for what to do in guilin. The single rooms are big, clean and confortable. Would definitely stay again.

    Long and Luca were great! Good information always helpful and very cheerful. Great guys. Location short walk from center but Didi is like 10 yen or something. Willadvice others to come here great place.

    The staff was pretty nice and had a great service. They helped us with booking the taxis and activities. The location of the inn was not really close to the city center but the food near the inn was great.

    Excellent customer service and coffee is the best around town! Great convenient location to Elephant trunk hill, walkable distance to the touristy city center where the walking street is. Lotsa eataries around the hotel n convenient store is just across the street.

    location along the main road though some walking distance from the city centre. felt safe. helpful (especially main host Luca who speaks English) in booking tourist attractions eg river cruise and the cave. room is spacious and clean, bed is comfy, aircon is fantastic. great coffee.
