The hotel was a simple one, but the service was really a tad too great that it didn’t matter that the room was simple. The staff were so welcoming and hospitable, and they really put your happiness and interest at heart. The emplacement is great. The street is great with a lot of Shop from Beijing to discover. The big places to visit are near and easyly accessible. The staff was really helpful and gave us a lot of advise to discover the city and some excursion to see the great wall.

Convenient location with Hutong experience. The streets around the hotel is not too narrow but taxis are not willing to come to hotel unless we told them we have luggages. Usually we will alight from taxis near the train station and walk in. The walk towards the hotel was a nice experience looking at buildings and observing how people live among the Hutongs. Room service is excellent and clean. One of the chambermaid took care of my room mate (who can’t read Chinese) who become sick in the morning and helped her to order lunch. The lead receptionist whose name is Wang Quan Long helped my room mate to locate her missing jeans after laundry. A long stay guest accidentally took her jeans when he went out to collect his laundry.

Modern furnishings, tasteful decoration and garden design have transformed this 400-year-old Beijing courtyard into a charming hotel with romantic ambience.
