United KingdomIf you get a balcony room overlooking the sea between the island and mainland to the north you'll be mesmerized by the colours and beauty of the view, palm trees, bird life and brightly painted boats, while sitting comfortably in the shade! The room was clean, comfortable and everything worked. The staff were friendly and helpful and the two restaurants, one veg one non-veg, served tasty meals. We had, originally, booked for a resort at Nagoa beach but were let down. As it turned out this was a much better option, Diu is an interesting town and the beaches to the south are, unlike Nagoa with it's reputation for drunkenness, broken bottles and noisy watersports, beautiful, clean and virtually deserted. I couldn't find, online, any information on whether those southern beaches were safe for swimming, they are.
