This was my first time visiting Japan, and I chose Matsumoto as my travel destination. I must say, choosing Cafe & Stay Castana as my accommodation in Matsumoto was the best decision I made. The room was very clean and tidy. The dining area is beautifully designed, and you can enjoy a coffee while taking in the lovely scenery outside! Most importantly, the host was incredibly nice and friendly. We had a flat tire while traveling around Matsumoto. When Kaneda-san heard about our issue, he kindly offered to drive me to the car rental shop and even helped translate the problem to the staff there. Thanks to Kaneda-san’s help, we were able to get a new rental car without any trouble! I will definitely book Cafe & Stay Castana again if I have the fortune to visit Matsumoto in the future!

Fantastic location. Right next to the railway station and opposite the main bus stand. Since my main focus was on getting to Kamikochi and the Alps everyday, this served my purpose perfectly well. The rooms were spotless and excellent and the staff were super friendly.

The room is clean, the TV in the room can check the availability of the Osen, restaurant and the laundry facilities. The hotel location is great and easy access. The free happy hour drinks and late night chazuke is really delightful. Overall the experience is great and would consider to stay in this hotel brand again.

Everything was good and smooth. I love the Onsen facilities especially the outdoor one. Late night ramen, ice cream, and yakhult complementary are also a plus. The bed and room size are not too bad for a couple.
