We liked every thing they provided. The outdoor onsen with magnificent sunset view was awesome. The room was clean and spacious, the heating kutatsu table was so nice. The breakfast and diner are delicious and changed many every day. The service people are very friendly and helpful.

We wanted to check out Kusasenrigahama, hike the Kuju Mountains and then go to Kurokawa Onsen Town, and this was the perfect spot for the first leg of our trip because it is so convenient to the Makinoto Pass Trailhead. The room itself is spacious and peaceful, with large windows overlooking green rolling hills. Beds are so comfy, including the duvet and cover. There was a long desk along the windows, great if you need to do some work or writing. The staff is great, and the western style of the restaurant and lobby is fun.

AsoTsuruya is a recently renovated ryokan in Aso where guests can make the most of its bar and shared lounge. This 3-star ryokan offers daily room service.

Incredible staff who took care of every detail. The location is gorgeous and very close to Mt. Aso and several other natural attractions—perfect for nature lovers. We booked the private onsen several times and really enjoyed it. The breakfast and dinner had a variety of choices we enjoyed. The hotel even let us use purchase our yukata. Great experience!!!

Was clean, confortable, and cheerful accommodation. Although I got there late at night (11 PM), the owner kindly opened the outside hot spring. I really think I should have stayed longer time.
