The meals were delicious The beach is beautiful and peaceful. It’s a perfect place to loose yourself and find yourself.

Tambolaka Airport is 7 km away. I arrived very late due to heavy rain and was welcomed by this amazing community who helped me with so many personal things such as organisation of my trip, Oan was so kind to drive me to pick-up my luggage at another place, they called a nurse to treat my foot that was injured a little bit from a hike. It is a lovely community with a very interesting museum of Sumba's history and culture on the campus.

They treat you like royalty and make sure you feel home from the first moment. The restaurant is sublime, the beach is on your doorstep and the staff are professionals and yet super sweet and caring. We rented a scooter from them and explored the savanna, waterfalls and traditional villages. On booking breakfast is mentioned to be 13 euro but in reality it is much cheaper. Food is super delicious and very affordable. I hope they start giving cooking classes in future.

At the resort, all rooms have a patio with a sea view. At Rua Beach Resort Sumba all rooms include air conditioning and a private bathroom. What we really liked is the hospitality in this resort. Ben helped us a lot with looking for nice locations to go to. The food was also really good. The owner is Italian so the pasta is on point. The room was clean with an excellent working AC (pretty special when in Indonesia if you ask me). The shower pressure and temperature were also perfect. Thank you and we hope to see you again!
