Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. I think what makes me think of this place as even more magical and unforgettable than it is anyway is its artwork - it was stunning and utterly heartwarming in its simplicity. Perfect value for money and location. The place was perfectly clean and the bathroom was a stunner with its space, modern decor and heated floors. Our stay there was a seamless and magical experience.

Set 500 metres from Black Sand Beach, Hotel Vík í Mýrdal offers 3-star accommodation in Vík and has a fitness centre, a restaurant and a bar. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. I was very pleased by the warm and welcoming staff, I stayed one night for a business trip in the area and enjoyed amazing food in their in house restaurant and the attention and friendlyness of their staff was outstanding (restaurant, reception and housekeeping staff). The rooms are very stylish with amazing view and I love that they use l'occitane products in their rooms. Mattress was also 1+ and extremely comfortable, much better than in other hotels. This is by far my most favourite Hotel in Vik, I stayed in all of them several times for business trips and I would always recommend Hotel Vik y Myrdal over all other hotels. Also their restaurant and bar is absolutely the best. I never tried the breakfast as it only starts at 7:30 but I am very sure it is very good, too.

Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

All rooms have a modern interior design and are fully equipped with complimentary WiFi, communal area, LCD, Satellite TV, hairdryer, clothing rack, extra pillows, phone, soap, and a kettle with tea and coffee. The rooms are fitted with a desk and a private bathroom. Perfectly located hotel with super friendly staff. Stylish interior with high quality rooms. We were really lucky to even experience Aurora from our hotel room. Thanks again for the upgrade! Total recommendation!

This eco-friendly hotel, 30 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik, is surrounded by nature in the town of Ölfus. It offers free use of an outdoor wooden hot tub and arranges Icelandic horse riding tours on site. Excellent dinner options! They have a warm bathtub outside the building.

Adventure Hotel Geirland is 3 km off the Route 1 Ring Road and 3 minutes’ drive from Kirkjubæjarklaustur village. All rooms offer tea/coffee facilities and views of the surrounding mountain ridge.

Some of Geirland’s cosy rooms are set in individual cottages in the garden. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main building. The view was awesome, it has view to the mountains. The breakfast was awesome, buffet type. Room was clean and cozy.

The erupting Great Geysir is a 10 minute-drive away. Thingvellir National Park is 35 minutes from Gullfoss Hotel. The Kjölur highland road is 2 km away and connects northern and southern Iceland. Reykjavik city centre is 90 minutes away. very good room with smart TV and big space

Litli Geysir Hotel is on Route 35, located only 200 metres from the world famous Geysir hot spring in Iceland’s Haukadalur Valley. It offers an in-house restaurant as well as free access to WiFi and free parking.

The Gullfoss Waterfall is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Reykjavík city centre is a 1.5-hour drive away. We actually got upgraded to the Geysir Hotel on arrival and that property, service and location was amazing.

Situated off the Route 1 highway, Fosshotel Nupar offers panoramic views of Vatnajokull’s lava fields, mountains and glaciers. Skaftafell National Park is 45 km away.

Each heated guest room at Fosshotel Nupar has a work desk and private bathroom with shower. Some rooms include a seating area. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff. They gave us a call to see the northern lights.
