The owner is very friendly, kind, and helpful that we feel very welcome here. Definitely book here again if we visit Atami in the future.

The room was clean and spaced. It was nice we could do laundry and use the kitchen for coffee and light meals. The location wasn't so good, we drove every day to Takayama (~40 min) since there is not much to do in this area.

Really handy that it had a separate toilet. Could also access your own Netflix which was handy.

Without car, this hotel might be little isolated. Other than that, this hotel is excellent

We booked for 2 nights but decided to extend for 1 more as it was in the perfect area for places we planned to visit, and again, it was just so comfy. The staff were so friendly, especially Enomoto, who helped us and was very kind. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Mie!

Offering mountain views, 寅家 Japanese modern hotel is an accommodation set in Gero, 700 metres from Gero Station and 48 km from Takayama Station. With a shared lounge, the 3-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The staff welcomed us wholeheartedly and helped us with nearly everything, including our luggage, recommendations and making a reservation at a local yakiniku restaurant. The staff members spoke good English so that also helped us a lot! The private bathroom was relaxing and the room and futons were really good. The simple breakfast was smart and sufficient to us, too. The location is just a 10 minute (very slightly uphill but straight) walk from the railway station, and the Lawson conbini (24/7) is very close by if you need anything else. Definitely would recommend this place!
