They were very welcoming and helped with any queries, like nearby market, taxi bookings, mailing postcards or even when I shamelessly asked for free cups of their delicious masala chai. I was reluctant at first when reviews mention it, but their breakfast food is indeed very delicious especially the poori bhaji.

Been in Nepal for almost three months, in over 10 hotels, some of them really good. I mean: really. But none compare to this one. I came here for 2 days, to see if I felt comfortable for a convelescence period (after a leg injury in the mountains), or had to move somewhere else ("better" and way more expensive) as I would be 24/7 in the room/facilities. Those 2 days were more than enough to realize how lucky I'd been finding this place: right center of Thamel, but in an inner street with no noise; nice and very clean rooms with super comfortable bed; big modern bathroom; top breakfast, buffet style, with both variety and quality (something rare); and most importantly, amazing staff (security, cleaners, reception, waiters...all of it), willing to help beyond the extra mile. You can easily see the hand of Ishan, the exceptional manager, that makes this 3 star hotel a 5 star hotel experience -- the humble oppinion of a very frequent traveller and guest in hundreds of hotels and apartments. Needless to say that I extended my stay to over 8 days, and can't wait to come back. If you want the best place for the (high) value in the entire Kathmandu, do not hesitate: this is it.
