    Gili T is a beautiful island and has the perfect mix of...

    Gili T is a beautiful island and has the perfect mix of quiet, party and places to visit. We stayed for 4 days and explored as much as we could using bicycles. At the north, is Turtle point, where you can snorkle and swim with turtles - I would highly recommend. The you can visit sunset point, which is beautiful. There is a "party" area of the island too, I would recommend to those in their 20's. There are no motorised vehicles on the island. You can travel via electric scooter, bicycle or horse. We did not use the horses though, as we felt it was cruel.

    It’s a small island and you can walk or cycle it.

    It’s a small island and you can walk or cycle it. There’s only horse drawn taxis or electric scooters and bicycles. The island has everything from quiet to party and great food. The beaches are lovely and we swam and snorkelled everyday. Saw turtles numerous times from the hotel beach as well as on group and personal trips which are really reasonable. It really is a great island.

    If you are over 35, or a couple, this island may not be for...

    If you are over 35, or a couple, this island may not be for you. Gili T is more for partying and Instagram people. The centre of the village is just crammed with horse carts, ebikes, bicycles and people. It is not really very relaxing to stroll around. Prices are higher than everywhere else (e.g. Bali or Gili A). At night it is just a mass of people drinking shots, and partying hard. EVERYONE is there to take pictures of themselves. So there are all these strange activities, like a sunrise paddleboard tour that lasts about 15 minutes (sole purpose is to take photos) or sunset horseback riding that takes 10-15 minutes (sole purpose is to take photos). No one hangs out and just vibes - it's all about the photos. I am also aware that Gili T is a muslim island and the swim suits that women were wearing were just indecent. I just wonder what the locals think about it. But the island itself, the diving, the snorkeling, the turtles are all great. The locals are fun and very cool. Honestly, there is nothing that can be done about the tourists... everyone is obsessed with photographing themselves these days and showing off their bare bottom.

    The place is amazing, words can’t describe the feeling and vibe of this cityyy! Must go and stay for atleast 3/4 days. This island runs on horse carts and cycles! The party scene is lit! Scubaa- outstanding

    Gili T has lots of potential, but at the moment it feels a bit overcrowded and overexplored. Things are a bit dirty and messy outside the beach clubs. Access inside the land is poor. Boat access is a bit chaotic.

    Not the location for me with my wife more for the younger...

    Not the location for me with my wife more for the younger backpackers type. Would not recommend. No sandy beach. Difficult to get in to the sea for swimming / snorkelling. If you stay on the sea front it looks fine but as soon as you venture off the front the. Island is not the best in terms of cleanliness.

    There are a lot of cats living in the hotel, so 10/10 on that for sure! Friendly staff, and very helpful. RECOMMENDATION: Rent here the bikes to move arround the island, are lot cheaper than aoutside the hotel (50k IDR per bike per day). Amazing breakfasts. This place is a good choice for those who want to experience diving on gili islands, they have everything you need to do scuba diving (equipment, monitors, boat...).

    The accommodation was exceptional. It is a a tranquil haven on the island paradise that is Gili Trawangan. We would highly recommend staying at Boho Villa. The staff were very friendly and helped us with all our questions. They were always available and quick to respond to our messages. It you you want to treat yourself to high quality accommodation, this is the place to do it. We will definitely be back!

    It’s a little slice of paradise with such amazing attention to detail. The bed is honestly the best I have ever slept in and I’ve done many a so called ‘5 star’ hotel. The fact you have the pool which is partially shaded was perfect for me. It’s about 5mins max from the beach front, so only noises are the wilderness, prayer calls and the bells of passing horse carriages.

    We enjoyed our 4 days in Gili Trawangan in Scallywags Resort. Breakfasts were plentiful and tasty with a beautiful view of the sea and the island of Lombok. Also the hotel offers massage and bikes and food throughout the day. Room was big and great, we liked that the bathroom was outside. Pool area was also nice.
