We came for the Leukaemia Foundation "Airing of the Quilts" show to hold a Quilts for sale stall; needed a place accessible to the High School and able to accomodate us all making it a girls trip - not just a business trip. We all enjoyed it very much. The exterior isn't glamorous but it is delightful inside with lovely wood floors and had everything we needed.

We never met the host. It was very nicely presented and looked better in real life than in the photos. Very relaxing place. We loved the garden and all the birds in the trees. Were sad to leave.

It is ideally situated to enjoy the Daintree Forest: only 5 minutes drive to Daintree Village and all the cruises and forest walks centred there ( and don’t forget the pub), and about 20 minutes drive to the Daintree Ferry and the Cape Tribulation road. It is perched on a hillside, surrounded by forest. Its architecture fits its surroundings perfectly, with huge living area contains many of Gerald’s woodwork objets d’arts, and an equally huge deck with magnificent 180 degree views up and down the Daintree valley. The kitchen and bedrooms are equally roomy and well appointed.

This place is special! It is right in the middle of the rainforest and everything felt really thoughtful - kind of like the old days of Airbnb! The wraparound deck was beautiful, and there are so many places to sit, hang out, and take in the nature. There were lots of great touches - a basket full of insect stuff, toiletries, cooking bits, towels left out for the outdoor bath, washing supplies, record player, games, books about the birds, binoculars; the list could go on! Ray was a pleasure to communicate with. Getting in was super easy, and the location is good for getting around the Daintree along the main roads. When I am back in grey London I will try and transport myself back here!

The house is gorgeous and is really ideal for a couple of nights in the Daintree. Quite remote so you can get a feeling of being in the nature, but very comfortable nonetheless. It is very beautifully designed as well, and is fully equiped with all you could need. Really can't expect more than this and I couldn't have hoped better...
