The location is breathtaking. The entire setting with the garden and the lookouts is a dream. The villa sol y mar is cosy, watching Tucans flying with 10 m distance from the open air shower is something you cannot experience in Europe.

Everything was perfect. We had 2 amazing days in Uvita. Excellent contact with the host. The house is brand new, fully equipped. Excellent equipment in the kitchen. Barbecue area. A place on the terrace overlooking the forest, where you can eat peacefully. Comfortable and large bed. Excellent internet connection. Very clean and functional bathroom. The neighborhood is quiet, you can only hear birds (hummingbirds, parrots and toucans). Fantastic pool, hammock and plenty of space where you can relax. No problem to find restaurants and eat in the area. To the beach quite close about 10 minutes walk. We also used the laundry service (fast and inexpensive - we recommend). The Jungle Bus was the highlight of our three week holiday in Costa Rica. The bus has recently been converted into a wonderful little house for two in the jungle just south of Quepos. A 4X4 is necessary to reach the property as it's high up in the jungle, about a kilometre from the coast, but close to the gorgeous local beaches and other local amenities. The bus is split into a "living area" with a well appointed kitchen equipped with everything one could possibly need and a "sleeping area" with a double bed and ensuite bathroom. The planning and execution of the conversion were obviously meticulous as all available space has been used to create a unique little house with more than enough space for two. There is a lovely balcony surrounding the bus that has views into the jungle and the beautiful garden that the hosts have planted. A wonderful space to sit, relax, eat and enjoy the diverse wildlife.

Amazing Stay at Casa Rucca – Highly Recommended! Casa Rucca in Playa Hermosa, Uvita is an absolute gem! The accommodation is beautiful—modern, new, and incredibly cozy, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It’s the perfect blend of style and function, making it feel like a home away from home. Amazing shower with good pressure and hot water. The host was fantastic—super communicative and always ready to help with anything we needed, making our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the balcony—from there, we had the most amazing view and saw countless toucans, exotic birds, and even monkeys! It felt like we were living in the heart of nature. I would definitely recommend Casa Rucca to anyone visiting Uvita. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica! Highly recommended! Would come again for sure.
