We have spent a very nice weekend at Au Nid de Caroline. The house is amazing, even much better that what you see in the pictures. Besides, Sophie, her husband Philippe and her daughter Caroline are very kind. They made our stay really comfortable, helped us with everything we needed and gave us lots of good recommendations and advices. Many thanks. We will def be back. We recommended it without hesitation.

One must experience the grandeur of Lescun's mountains to truly appreciate their magnificence. The jagged peaks, bearing the marks of time and weather, stand as guardians over the lush valley. The vista is a symphony of vibrant greens, wildflowers, and snow-capped peaks against the backdrop of an ever-changing sky. Whether it was the early morning mist gently curling around the peaks or the radiant sunset painting the sky with fiery hues, every moment was a sensory feast. The hiking trails are a paradise for nature lovers. Each trail in the Cirque de Lescun offers a unique perspective of the landscape, from gentle paths that meander through the valley to challenging routes that ascend the lofty summits. The 'Tour des Aiguilles d'Ansabère' was a personal highlight, with its incredible panoramic view of the pyrenean chain. The well-marked trails ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for hikers of all levels. Besides its natural allure, Lescun is steeped in rich local culture. The villagers are warm and welcoming, always ready with a friendly smile and a story to share. The local cuisine is a delight for the palate, featuring hearty dishes like local cheeses. I stayed at a quaint house that was the epitome of rural charm with large car parks which it’s highly recommended in this village with narrow streets. Cirque de Lescun is a place that both inspires and heals. It’s a place where the ruggedness of the mountains meets the gentleness of the valley, creating a landscape that is as serene as it is untamed.
