The house was cozy, comfotable and very clean, it has fireplaces and access for hot tub which was preheated on our arrival time, the heating was on. Also we got gorgeous complimentary from the owner that we didn’t expect to see, it was very nice and thank you soo much. There was plenty plates and forks, other kitchen appliances, brand new oven. Rooms: Very clean, spotless, new mattresses, warm beds, in one of the bedrooms we found extra duvets. So, overall it was great stay, we cannot recommend enough this place.

Absolut great cottage at a fabulous location. Very lonely placed but with a great view to the lake and the hill. Cottage is clean and there-s plenty of space. We'd come again !

it was very easy to live in, all the beds we’re comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, there were fresh farm eggs in the fridge for us, the house was clean. it was very peaceful and a close walk to the ferry to go to the Aran Islands.

Wonderful, peaceful setting. A perfect getaway in a lovely location with kind owners. We loved that it felt so private, but was only a few minutes drive into town for groceries etc.

Everything. Our family have stayed in many places before but this beautiful house by the lake was really exceptional. There’s every comfort and facility a family will need. The host was extremely helpful and always responsive. It’s the perfect place to explore Connemara and Galway from. On a clear night, the view with the moon’s reflection is like something out of a fairy tale.

We both loved our 3 night stay at Ben Gower. The house was very well equipped and so cosy. We slept really well as the rooms so quiet and dark. The cottages are at the end of a long fairly steep lane, so they really are very peaceful. Even the black faced sheep that amble about around the grassy areas don’t seem to make any noise! There was lots of space for guest parking and with several cottages available to rent this would be a perfect retreat for a group of family or friends. We would definitely recommend to others.
