This place is very special. It was atmospheric and lovely retaining all its original charm, but with wonderfully modern toilets and a modern bathroom with a deep wooden tub. We ended up enjoying the town of Suhara quite a bit as well, it is a lovely original post town. There is a fresh water spring right outside the front door which was also very special for us. The host clearly has his heart and soul in the place and I'm glad he is willing to share it.

The house is beautifully designed and peaceful & tranquil. The bed is really comfortable and the location was great for exploring the area by car or if walking the nakasendo. It is better in person than in the photos, it’s restored in a contemporary way with all of the amenities & a nice mix of traditional Japanese style. Tommy the host was amazing, he made us feel really welcome and was very helpful. Would definitely recommend the sushi dinner which he prepared for us.

Host was attentive and gave us a bottle apple juice from her own orchard. Comfortable Place with 3 bedrooms. Kitchen very well equipped with coffee machine, cultery, fridge, toaster, microwave oven etc. Quiet environment.

The house is gorgeous, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The owner's attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We're especially grateful for the generous sharing of their farm produce - the vegetables, rice, soy sauce, and BBQ sauces were all incredibly fresh and delicious.
