Basically, everything about this property, it's in a good location centrally to some of Kyoto's most famous landmarks. Staff were beyond pleasant and easy to deal with. The property is amazing (unfortunately, my wife wants me to recreate something similar in Australia 🤣). I couldn't recommend it highly enough, would 10/10 rebook this property.

Very good machiya in a nice quiet neighborhood steps away from transit, nice restaurants and cafes. nishiki market is walking distance on a temperate day otherwise use any of the local buses that are easy to use and convenient. I would highly recommend taking the short walk to Astrea Coffee or Wanderers if you are looking for fantastic coffee and breakfast.

The whole feel of the places was just so great. It had the historic vibes with a modern interior twist. The indoor and outdoor baths were just good to end of an entire day of sightseeing. loved the free beverages provided in the fridge. The place was spacious and comfortable for 4 of us!

    This is a beautiful 100 year old home that has been made into two townhouses/villas. It was very comfortable with two bedrooms and 2 toilets. The downstairs bathroom has one indoor and one outdoor private bathtub. The property manager came to provide an overview of the home, taught us how to make macha tea, and made sure we understood how to use the facilities in great English. She also made reservations for us for dinner and for getting cabs to take us to the train station the next morning.
