Spacious new duplex apartment, ideal for 4 people. Two toilets are an obvious plus. Very clean. Great shower and bath. Good location from main attractions. The kitchenette has all the necessary equipment. The washer and dryer was very useful to us. The owners were always in touch and responded quickly to our messages.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Koume No Tonari for a short one-day trip and it was by far the best hotel experience I've had in a while. The ambiance of the hotel was cozy and had a modern Muji style, which made me feel right at home. Every corner of the hotel was thoughtfully designed, and I appreciated the attention to detail. The hotel is located in a relatively quiet area, which was perfect for my needs. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that within a 3-minute walk, there were numerous options for dining and entertainment. This was incredibly convenient, and I loved having easy access to a variety of options without having to travel far.

The house is fabulous. The whole place feels like a work of art -- traditional but modern at the same time, and very clean. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The place got everyone one might need. The best part is that the price is less than most of the single-room hotels.

Amazing location and incredibly accommodating hosts. Unlike other big hotels you really get a sense that everyone there cares and wants to ensure the enjoyment of your stay. We were travelling with a 10 month old and they ensured we had everything we needed. The location cannot be beat right in the heart of Gion, we found ourselves not worrying about the crowds since we were right in the centre of the action and could explore the area whenever we wanted.

    This is a beautiful 100 year old home that has been made into two townhouses/villas. It was very comfortable with two bedrooms and 2 toilets. The downstairs bathroom has one indoor and one outdoor private bathtub. The property manager came to provide an overview of the home, taught us how to make macha tea, and made sure we understood how to use the facilities in great English. She also made reservations for us for dinner and for getting cabs to take us to the train station the next morning.
