At first we didn’t really know what to expect since there weren’t many reviews on booking, but we were really enthusiastic about this place. The location is stunning, it’s in the middle of nature. I also really liked the people that were hosting. The food was amazing and they made a bonfire at dinner. The woman also took us on a really cool hike through the rice fields. It was an amazing experience all together.

Staying at Kandy Living Home Stay was one of the most memorable parts of my trip to Sri Lanka. The home itself is beautifully designed — clean, cozy, and incredibly comfortable — with thoughtful touches that made me feel right at home. One of the absolute highlights of my stay was the cooking class with Chef Janith. He is not only a talented chef but also a wonderful teacher. With great patience and passion, he guided us through each step of preparing a traditional Sri Lankan meal, sharing stories, tips, and local knowledge along the way. The setup was perfect, and the food we created was absolutely delicious. I left Kandy Living not just with amazing memories, but with new cooking skills, a deeper appreciation for Sri Lankan culture, and the feeling of having been truly cared for. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kandy — it’s more than just a stay; it’s a full, heartfelt experience.

The house was located in the first floor of the villa. It was huge and very spacious. The house had all the essential facilities for a comfortable stay. The location is about 20 minutes drive from city center, yet we loved the serenity of the place. Short walk to the main road, with a supermarket barely 200 metres away and lots of fruits and vegetable vendors nearby. The house felt very safe and we loved the privacy we enjoyed. The manager of the villa Mr. Saman was super friendly and always available for any assistance. Overall it was an amazing stay and we loved it so much. Highly recommended!
