Loved it. The family left no stone unturned - attention to detail at it’s best- they provided us with valuable information about activities near the property- and the upgrade to using the sauna and hot tub was the cherry on the cake- property close to the river, and lots of hiking trails too- property was comfortable and warm- all facilities were modern and up to date- a coffee machine with pods, sugar and any possible items were available-

Dubavi is a little house full of history on the edge of town, the people living there passed away and it’s still full of books, vinyls and even a piano belonging to the others. The daughter is the one managing the property now and she was really lovely and welcoming. If you want the feeling of staying in an old family home and of travelling back in time this place is for you.

Really nice family house. Some personal touch and everything you may need. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Games and plays for kids. Would stay here again.

You absolutely NEED to visit this place if you like to cozy it up outside the city. The pictures don't really do the place justice - the rooms are so well thought out by the host (who you'll meet). There are lots of cool design elements that aren't just basic "scandi" (which I also really like). The house is separate from the host's home, which is next door. There are a few other houses in the small gardening community. There is plenty of privacy but none of the eeriness that comes with being in a cabin without anyone around (I know that some love the total solitude, but I kind of don't). Valmiera has large supermarkets and was only a 15-20 minute drive away. We also took day trips to Sigulda, the drive was a little less than an hour. Cesis and Rakši Zoo are also less than an hour a way. So the cottage: the sleeping quarters are small and cozy, the living spaces are spacious, including the bathroom. There is plenty of space to hang out both inside and outside. We especially appreciated the second-floor reading area - the lounge chair with soft pillows is now a dream for our own home. You can also cook basically anything that doesn't require an oven. There is also a charcoal grill, you can get charcoal from the shop. The coffee machine was great. The cottage has a pond next to it, not for swimming but for observing frogs. It was our favourite pastime. We also went walks in the beautiful state forest, even got some mushrooms. The host has also built lots of birdhouses all over the property, so there is a lot of hustle and bustle to observe all day long. If you are lucky, you'll get to meet the cutest most excitable dog as well, but this is not a must if you are wary. There are also some local secrets the host may share if once you've settled in. All in all, it was a big step up from what we expected, and we would really love to go back. This would be the perfect place for a reading retreat, for example.

The place was beautiful and spacious. We especially enjoyed the lovely terrace, the sauna, and the hot tub – it made the stay extra relaxing and enjoyable. Communication with the hosts was quick, easy, and very friendly.

Felt very welcomed. Atmosphere was very warm, romantic. Saunas was already hot, small lights everywhere, candles, good smell, comfortable bed.

Absolutely wonderful place, very clean, very spacious, very well equipped, in a great location. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Holiday Home Uzbazes as a group of friends and had an amazing time! The host was very friendly and welcoming, and the location itself is beautiful and peaceful. The main house is extremely spacious, well-equipped with all the utilities you might need, and perfect for groups. We especially enjoyed the sauna and hot tub, which made our stay even more relaxing and fun. It’s truly a wonderful place to stay with friends, and we would definitely love to come back!

Everything about this place. The host is very friendly, Place is charming, homie, very nice. It's very warm too, considering we were there for Christmas. And the house was nicely decorated for christmas too. So it was very nice touch. Everything is exactly as shows on photos. We absolutely loved the place and our dog too. Huge hypermarket is 10 min away driving.
