Villas in Shāhiq

We had an unforgettable experience here, like in a fairy tale from the Arabian Nights amidst the breathtaking desert dunes, we experienced genuine, warm hospitality. We checked into a villa that we were told was ours and were looked after by Tushar, who was invisible, very respectful of privacy and yet always there when we needed him. He explained that the owner of the house, Mohammed, had told him that it wasn't about money, the only important thing was that the guests were happy and that they were treated like family. The landlord, Mohammed himself, took us into the desert and treated us to a big dinner in the middle of the dunes, and when a sandstorm came up, Mohammed even conjured up an innovative shelter for us out of flying carpets. On the day of our departure, we were surprised by Mohammed and his children who visited us with presents, we experienced the great hospitality of Oman first hand and felt at home, and now, back home, we miss it very much.

Very welcoming. Offered Bedouin experience in the desert. It was brilliant. It was a pleasure to meet the family and stay in a local home.

The house is new, lovely-decorated, spacious, clean and very comfy. It has 2 domes (1 double bed and 2 twin beds) and a sofa bed in the living room. It has 2 bathrooms. It is located adjacent to the desert and the house comes with a sand sand slide! The host is nice and helpful and can communicate well in English.
