The property key was easy to find along with the gate opener! We checked in late so it was dark. We did need a flashlight to find it which was totally fine - just make sure your phone battery is charged! The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook dinner both nights we were there. Host was very responsive via Booking App. Wifi was excellent and allowed me to do some work during the evenings!

We had a wonderful stay at Moanaura Lodge. It is located in a quieter part of the island further away from all the tourists and cruise ships, which allows one to be more immersed in the local culture. The setting is beautiful with lush jungly mountains on one side and the blue ocean on the other. Klaus was a fantastic caretaker for the property - very friendly and approachable, willing to answer all of our questions. Meileana was also readily available by email and promptly responded to any questions we had about check in and payment. Overall, this property is great value for its price!

Staying at the bungalow was truly unforgettable. The setting is absolutely stunning and peaceful seclusion all in one. Very clean and has a beautiful pool. Wonderful views from the side of the house. The beds were super comfortable. There was a nice water filtration machine in the kitchen, and there was a fruit basket waiting for us when we arrived. The family that owns it were very kind and arranged to pick us up at the airport for a fee. They also dropped us at the ferry.

Check in was a breeze - Teihotu picked us up at the airport! The property is clean and comfortable and the alarm clock (roosters!) are fully functional. It is located within a family compound so you experience the local way of life instead of the homogeneous hotel experience. There are plenty of restaurants, food trucks, grocery stores, etc within walking distance. Teihotu is very accommodating and available without being intrusive.
