No hot water, boiler did not worked. They would send someone of the water company. Helas nobody showed up to fix the problem. 10 mails with the aid of google Translate, way and back. A cleaning lady showed up and looked at the system but could not fix it. Error code on the boiler Said a technician was required. Because we are hiking the via algarviana and after 25 km of hiking appreciate at least a hot shower, 150€ for a night is way too much. Lovely place in a small village in the middle of nowhere. Lots of space but it's a bit like staying in Grandma's house, even her clothes are still there in the wardrobe.. Very dated and electrics old etc. But I didn't mind. It was still a lovely place and fairly reasonable price.

This is an extremely beautiful place in Mertola, a very nice city in the natural park of Guidiana River. We stayed with our 4 grown up children, two of them with their partners. There was enough room for all of us, we liked especially the huge terrace of the upper floor. We really can highly recommand.
