Great location, great property, fabulous room (comfort and size) with a spacious luxury bathroom. Food was outstanding.

I like the views along with unlimited passes to access the Viking village and other facilities. I also like the breakfast included in the rate.

Loved the personalised checkin. Good size room with coat racks & shelf for our smaller bags & jackets. Very nice continental breakfast with 6 varieties of fresh fruit. Complimentary access to Viking Village & Vestrahorn. Good value.

Great location and friendly staff. Easy access to the beach and incredible views of Vestrahorn. I thought the viking village was interesting, even though it's a fake movie set, it felt eerie exploring it all alone in the evening.

- they have all you need - they have welcome treats, the cake is good! - they have many free food in the pantry - nice staff - good ambiance and clean - all the places, rooms, bathrooms, lobby smells so good - name it and they have it - near in restaurant - nice view, the village is in front of beautiful mountain it gives you peaceful vibes - it's beyond my expectations given the cheap price

Lovely stay at The Blackhouse. Self check-in allowed us to arrive later than usual and have a seamless experience. Like others have mentioned, the lack of a stove with pots and pans was a bummer, but the estate more than made up for it with the luxurious space and cleanliness afforded to us from the get go. Would definitely come to stay again :)

We booked this hotel to be in the shadow of Vestrahorn mountain. This is one of the most phoographed locations in Iceland with this amazing mountain and it's reflection in the shallow bay in front of it. There are also some great hiking trails nearby and a cool Viking Village movie set worth checking out. The hotel only has a few small rooms but staying here is all about location, location, location! Check out the Icelandic waffles and hot chocolate in the Viking Cafe; it's a great afternoon treat!

One of the best accommodations in Iceland. The guest house is in a secluded area, away from the village and other traffic, a very nice location to see aurora. Well equipped kitchen, parking right in front of the house.

Absolutely amazing stay. Hotel is located next to the ring road and out of any villages, perfect if you are hunting for auroras during the nights. Views are amazing and we even got to see the auroras from bed! Breakfast has little options but delicious and dinner on the hotel was really good too. Staff was amazing throughout our stay. Even though the hotel was fully booked, rooms were super quiet. Overall, not a negative thing to say, it was perfect!
