The communication was excellent, and the directions were very helpful. There are many hikes into the mountains with the most amazing views. An ideal place to unwind and relax. The ultimate bonus was seeing the northern lights on 2 of the 3 nights we spent there.

Located in Kvaløya and only 25 km from University of Tromsø, Volda Floating Home provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. This villa offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. The property is non-smoking and is set 25 km from Tromsø City Hall. Very unique experience to stay in this former ferry boat. You have everything you need inside, very comfortable and relaxing. Great view from the boat to the fjords too. Espen also went extra miles to help us with some groceries as most supermarkets were closed on Sun when we arrived. Would definitely come back if there’s a chance.

With river views, this accommodation features a patio. Tromsø City Hall is 22 km away and The Polar Museum is 22 km from the holiday home. Had a fantastic stay at the lodge! Hosts were super helpful and always on hand if needed. Had some amazing views and everything you need. Even got lucky enough to see some northern lights one evening outside the lodge. Would recommend hiring a car if staying here. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Tromsø
