Yes it’s a winding drive up the mountain so you need a car but that is part of what makes it so spectacular. Amazing views from the home! Mountains and waterfalls! Warm and cozy with a nice wood burning fireplace. Comfortable bed. Fully furnished living room was so cozy after a long day of exploring Nicely stocked large kitchen is perfect for preparing meals …And a wonderful jetted tub! Only 2 of us so we never even used the two bedrooms upstairs but this would be a wonderful place for families or friend get together. Also has a washer so it was great to clean everything after a weeks worth of hiking! The town is close by ( about 10 min drive) so everything is convenient. Would recommend that you book this beautiful home in a heartbeat!

A recently renovated holiday home located in Briksdalsbre, Trollbu Aabrekk gard features a garden. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Every room is equipped with a patio with views of the mountain. First of all, the location is epic, located in a beautiful valley in between the mountains, waterfalls and glaciers peeking from on top of the mountains. The staff (I only met one person since I was travelling after the tourist season) was very nice and helpful, it seems to be a kind-of family business. The food was great, I booked a dinner in addition to the breakfast and the meals truly were awesome. I do recommend booking a dinner - the food is worth it, the price is good compared to restaurants, and anyway there aren't almost any restaurants or cafes nearby. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.

Host recommended hiking Hamnanova, this mountain is visible from the kitchen and dining room windows. A steep, but enjoyable hike. Quiet, beautiful scenery. You can see your car from the hut at the top.

We stayed at the private cabin outside. The staff was very welcoming, and the cabin itself had everything we needed. The outside area is full of hidden gems and scenic spots. Only thing to note is that the mattress is very soft so take it into account if you suffer from back pains. Definitely recommend!

Flåm Church is just 100 metres away and the area has many hiking paths to explore. Absolutely stunning location and well-stocked kitchen. Tastefully decorated. Having coffee on the front porch in front of the waterfall was a dream!
