What a fun location - close enough to ‘town’ to walk as in, to the only Pub and Shop (and amazing book store!), but far enough to be dark and quiet. Wow the stargazing opportunities! Jo offered us fresh eggs and apples from her farm and gave other useful advice. Beds clean and comfortable. We appreciated the laundry as we really needed it. Enjoyed some drinks on the porch at sunset, and coffee / breakfast. Cute ponies out the back!

Blue Thistle Cottages is 8 minutes' drive from the Te Anau Glow Worm Caves. It is 20 minutes' drive from Manapouri. Fiordland National Park is 31.1 km away. A lovely cottage in a quiet, countryside location with a view, own parking area and a small private garden with a picnic table. Our Hostess met us as we pulled up in the driveway, handed us the key and gave us a quick tour of the cottage. It was also super convenient to have our Milford Sound tour operator pick us up from the gate at the end of the driveway (rather than having to drive into town).

Fantastic location, Roomy house with brand new bathroom 5 mins from Te Anau town centre . Quiet area, it has all cooking facilities and a big backyard for families with kids to play around. The house was clean and neat on arrival

The property has an outdoor dining area. A very comfortable home within walking distance to the town center, grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants and all of the excursion outlets. Beautiful back yard with a nice deck, trees, bbq, and even a kids playhouse. Lots of games for adults and children. Very friendly hosts. If we ever get the opportunity to go back to Te Anau we will definitely stay there again. For some reason I can’t find the pictures of the place to post. Wish I hadn’t lost them.
