This standalone spacious modern cottage looks newly renovated & is very well-maintained with 2 bedrooms and comfortable beds. Well-located in Bjorkliden with pleasant views and very near to Abisko National Park. Very cozy & immaculately clean cottage amidst peaceful & picturesque surroundings that makes us feel like home. Big comfy sofa & TV (with Netflix) in the spacious living room for relaxation. Very nice & big bathroom (heated flooring) and well-equipped kitchen with an impressive variety of interesting spices. We park car directly in front of the cabin door for easy loading & unloading of luggages. Host is very thoughtful & has included several items in the cottage eg indoor slippers & turned on the indoor heating before we checked in to make us feel warm & welcome. Cottage exceeded our expectations & everyone in the family loves it. Nearest supermarket with a wider variety of groceries items is located at ICA Nära Riksgränsen. We also managed to catch beautiful northern lights (shades of green and red) in Bjorkliden & Abisko National Park during our 2 nights' stay. We will definitely return for a different season & stay here again!

Kiruna Folkets Hus is 22 km from the holiday home. Kiruna Airport is 17 km away. The property matches the description really well. It was a bit larger than expected actually and super comfortable beds, duvets, sheets, plenty of soft pillows. Ultra clean. BUT… the really huge quality of this place is its uniqueness! Located in a very quite, secluded place at the very end of a winding road towards a stunning lake, the mini-lodge opens up as a one-of-a-kind oasis of calmness and beauty. You can really see the lake from your seat or bed and - whether permitting - see the Northern light in its fullest glory as ever moving curtains of light above the lake against the background of mountains. The only sounds are the wind whispering through the trees, the water ebbing and flooding softly against the shore and some occasional fish grasping your attention as are plenty of water birds. I found the sauna also a big bonus, again because of its location, cleanliness and authenticity: wooden fire flickering - no electrical stove :-)

The apartment is well equipped and there's a supermarket nearby within walking distance. The water was cold due to heater issues when we arrived on a Saturday, and the hosts were very responsive and quickly get the issue partially resolved on the day itself, and fully resolved by the next day.

Amazing location, in the forest by the frozen lake. If you're lucky you can see the lights right there! The house is very nice, simple, warm and comfortable. Perfect if you want to experience the Swedish Lapland at its best. Stefan is a very nice host, he will tell you everything he knows!

Jessica and Brice are wonderful hosts! I felt right at home at the apartment, which was impeccably clean. It has a very welcoming atmosphere. The bed is very comfortable. There is a big living room area with cozy blankets and lots of candles to light. The bathroom might be on the smaller side for some people but for me it was more than enough. The kitchen is big and well equipped. They provide coffee, different types of teas, oil, vinegear, salt and pepper, tea towel and a sponge and they even provided a plate with snacks like crisps and candy. It is those little touches that made this stay special. Jessica and Brice also organise activities like hunting for Northern Lights, snowmobiling and day trips. They also do pick-up and drop-off from the airport and train station as well as transfers to and from Kiruna. Would definitely recommend staying here and doing a tour with them!
