I traveled solo to Thailand for a month, needing a break to step away from my daily struggles and truly unwind. Thailand is ideal for any type of traveler, so I balanced my time between intense hiking and pure relaxation. For the final week of my trip, I set my sights on Koh Samui, searching for a centrally located place that was still peaceful and away from the crowds. After browsing countless listings and reviews, I discovered The Orchid Lodge. The photos exuded tranquility—exactly what I was looking for. Plus, the price was surprisingly reasonable for what was offered—great value for money—so I booked it without hesitation. I could go on and on about this place. Kristen, who owns and single-handedly runs the lodge (don’t be misled by the term lodge—it’s far more than that), is truly remarkable. I arrived at 10:30 PM, exhausted, and there she was, waiting with a platter of fresh fruit and a drink. Her warm smile instantly reassured me that I had made the right choice to end my vacation. The lodge itself is spotless, impeccably maintained, and has a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Kristen is an incredibly kind and attentive host, taking care of every request, helping with bookings, and offering valuable insights on the best spots in Koh Samui—including hidden gems off the beaten path. Honestly, I can’t stop raving about this place to all my friends heading to Koh Samui. Without a doubt, I’ll be returning to Thailand, and when I do, Orchid Lodge Samui will be my go-to accommodation. Thank you, Kristen, for making the end of my vacation absolutely perfect!

Perched on a sloping hill in the northern end of Plai Laem Beach, Samui Bayside Luxury Villas provides non-smoking accommodation with a private infinity pool and unobstructed views of the ocean and sunset. The property is just a few step from Samrong Beach. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Modern and clean villa on a superb location. We stayed at villa 20 which has a magnificent view over te bay. This combined with the infinity pool and a sunset makes you feel you're in paradise. The beach is a one minute walk down and is mostly empty, apart from some sunbathers. Very calm athmosphere. The water is clear with some rocks here and there. Going back up to the villa along the steep path is a little bit more challenging, but good for your physique. All necessary facilities are on site, even a washing machine, dryer and bbq. In case you need anything else, you have the bayside team on standby for you. The holday was great!

A car rental service is available at the villa. As I saw somewhere in previous reviews, the property truly looks even better in real life. We had an access to a private beach and sunbeds, the property was super clean and modern and maintained every day. We got bottled water refills every day as well. You can also rent a kayak for the sunset which is already included with the property. Lenny was our host and she is the sweetest person and goes out of her way to help the guests , she took care of the taxis for us, helped us getting a scooter and was able to give us great tips on what to do around Koh Samui. As for the location, it is perfect if you want to unwind, as you have more privacy there and it’s very calm and soothing. There are good restaurants around, gym on the beach and great massage places. We definitely recommend and we want to return in the future again. 😊❤️

Staff and owners were very frequently and helped with any issues or requirements. The room was spacious, and had all you need and more. Highly recommend!

We’ve traveled quite a bit, but Coco Layma is the first place where we truly felt at home. Nowhere else have we experienced such comfort, warmth, and attention to detail. My girlfriend is extremely sensitive to cleanliness and aesthetics, yet Coco Layma completely won her over - everything was spotless, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully arranged. We stayed here for three weeks, and every single day felt perfect. We actually booked our apartment first and only then bought our plane tickets. Due to a change in plans, we arrived a day later than expected and informed the owner, Par, just as a courtesy. Since we had a non-refundable booking, we didn’t expect anything in return, but to our surprise, Par arranged complimentary airport transfers both ways as a kind gesture. This level of hospitality is truly rare. The location is fantastic - right next to Punch It Gym, where I trained Muay Thai, and just a short walk from a 7/11 for convenience.
