A beautiful hotel in a very quiet location. We stayed in the Chillingham suite. And it was a suite. A nice big bed which was really comfy. Tea & coffee facilities in a separate area, with a small fridge, which was good. A really big bathroom with a power shower. A nice big mirror above the sink, which illuminated. All toiletries were of a good size and quality, which lasted the whole of our stay. Not the tiny little things you normally get. A very good selection for breakfast. And you were made to feel really welcome.

Great location for the places we wanted to visit. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast served promptly in a pleasant dining area. Very quiet - you’d never know you were close to the A1! Lovely countryside views with Bamburgh Castle and the sea in the distance. Good to have a bath (if small) as well as shower. Free parking outside the door appreciated after several days of city parking costs!
