The meals were excellent. We had dinner and breakfast. I love that so much of the original building has been maintained and restored, rather than covering it up. It is clean, lovely, quaint. It was a wonderful stay and Lalock is a fun town to visit.

Gill is the most beautiful person and she welcomes her visitors with warmth and kindness. My little suite was absolutely perfect. I was able to make myself breakfast from the food she provided which was excellent! I loved being on a farm away from the hustle and bustle of big cities. However, it was close enough to Bath and Stonehenge that I visited both in one day. I can’t say enough about how wonderful my experience was.

The town had good restraunts, interesting shops and places of interest. It is a very quiet town and Heavenly Retreat was also quiet. The most noise we heard was from the local Peacocks which are a quaint addition to a beautiful town. Everybody we met were friendly and helpful. This also goes for our lovely hosts who were very accommodating and happy to chat. We came away feeling completely refreshed and we would definitely go there again.

It's perfect for a quiet getaway or to visit Bath and the surrounding area. The room was large, clean and bright with everything we needed for our stay. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, right from our first check in to the bar and breakfast staff, we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. We will definitely be staying again next time we visit the area.

Spacious carpark. Friendly reception staff. The room was small, but very cosy. Great drinks facilities, including waters and proper glasses - all good. It was also really quiet and with the comfy bed, I had a great nights sleep. The drinks available for breakfast, the fruit, the pastries etc. were all good. The dining room and breakfast room were clean, proper tablecloths, good glasses, napkins etc. and a reasonable effort at silver service.
