Welcomed with fresh flowers and freshly baked scone which was a lovely touch and so unexpected. Owner's husband came out to welcome us and introduce himself. We were able to book breakfast for the next morning even though we hadn't requested it in advance. A good choice of breakfast items which for both of us were delicious. Loved the shower, two shower heads and fabulous pressure.

Great location in a quiet Yorkshire village, views from the garden were wonderful. The welcome guide gave lots of good local information and recommendations. Both beds were comfortable and the cottage was well equipped. It was a nice touch to leave firewood for the two wood burners but as it was warm, we did not need to use them.
