Mike was a wonderful host, kind, accommodating and helpful! The rooms were spotless, comfortable and equipped with everything a traveler would need. I'm not sure which view was more spectacular from the bedroom or the sitting room both incredible. It was a scenic and short walk to the lovely village. We enjoyed Tweedle's so much for dinner we went back for breakfast. I didn't realize how much I would enjoy the lake county and look forward to another visit and stay at the Chestnut Villa. Thank you Mike and staff! ;)

The property was very clean and well furnished with attention to detail. The location was great, only a few minutes walk from the village. Parking was available at the property. Breakfast was excellent - we could have as little or as much as we wanted. Jacky, our host, was charming and informative.

If I could, I would give it 100/10! This place is magical: the staff are super kind, the breakfast is very good, the hut is simply beautiful. Nick did everything he could to make us spend the most wonderful anniversary: we were able to sit by the river, which is right outside the hut, with a fire pit, while sipping some sparkling wine. Could it get any more romantic than that?! Victorian House exceeded our expectations.

Had a fantastic two night stay here, everything was so lovely, we felt welcomed and it was a really relaxing environment to act as a base to explore Grasmere. Very comfortable room,.completed to a really high standard. We were even given an upgrade to our room! The breakfast was extensive to a very high standard or organic products, we mentioned we were vegan and the gentleman very kindly cooked extra vegan options for us. The homemade bread was a lovely touch

We absolutely loved the Badger Bar. It was by far the best place we stayed on our trip to the U.K. It's historical, with lovely.decor and extremely clean & comfortable rooms. The bed was comfy, the shower's water pressure was fine. Soap, shampoo & lotions were all provided, as well as coffee, tea, & cookies. The food was great; they serve a wonderful breakfast, with a great variety of choices, all delicious. The dinners served in the pub were fabulous - again, many choices, including the best fish & chips ever, not to mention the desserts! The staff were awesome, so friendly and helpful. And what a great location! Wonderful walks and trails in every direction, & the bus stop just steps away if you need to travel further afield And so much history! Wordsworth lived quite nearby!. Best of all, every night they feed the badgers and you can go out and watch. It was great fun!

in den drei Wochen Rundreise in verschiedenen Parks in England und Wales war dies unser Lieblingshotel. Traumhafte Lage abseits vom Trubel, auf dem Grundstück laufen Pfauen herum. Wir hatten allerdings auch eine bessere Zimmerkategorie, die Hotelbewertungen hängen ja immer stark davon ab, in welchem Zimmer man untergebracht ist und ich kann zu den Standardzimmern nicht sagen. Essen im Hotel war korrekt, aber vielleicht etwas teuer für das was es war, Frühstück um 9h30 schon etwas leergefegt aber wenigstens inklusive, im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen Hotels. Betten sehr bequem.
