We really cannot think of anything that we didn't like about Thistleyhaugh Farm. First of all, it is a beautiful location. In the middle of the countryside, with only sheep and cows as direct neighbours. The house itself is also beautiful. You can tell much attention has gone into the decoration and details of it all. Our room was most comfortable and spacious. The bed was very good. There was a TV with Netflix option, tea and coffee facilities, fresh bottles of water and milk every day of our stay as well as a jar of cookies. The bathroom was comfortable with a nice shower. Everything was spotless. Good WiFi too! We found it really added to our experience that the bed was made fresh every time we came back in the evening from our Northumberland adventures. Breakfast was delicious, with yogurt, cereal and fresh fruit as well as cooked options. We felt like royalty staying here and our host was most friendly.

Lou and Shaun were incredible hosts and the place was incredibly surprising - a wonderful Northumberland farm experience and the biggest B&B room we have stayed in. There is so much history to the place and a visit to Cragside is a must do to complement the Cragend farm experience. Can not rate this place or the hosts highly enough.

What was not to like. Greeted with Coffee and cake. Room had great views over village. Good size, lovely comfortable bed, shower good, very clean and quality shower gels etc. plenty of wardrobe/ drawer space for clothes. Breakfast excellent, fresh local and tasteful products for cooked varieties, granola, figs, dates, fruits, yoghurt etc. Cooked breakfast was done fresh everyday. All in would recommend and definitely stay here again

Tout était parfait. La chambre était vaste et confortable. La salle de bain était digne d'un hôtel 5 étoiles. L'emplacement était idéal, en pleine campagne et pourtant à seulement quelques minutes en voiture du centre d'Alnwick. Enfin notre hôtesse Fiona nous avait réservé un accueil tout à fait sympathique avec un "afternoon tea" très apprécié et a fait preuve tout au long de notre séjour d'une grande amabilité. Si nous revenons dans cette région d'Angleterre, nous retournerons certainement au Night Owl.
