It was an amazing experience to stay at Straven Guesthouse. I felt at home, the bed was very comfortable and the room was beautiful and warm. Breakfast was a whole variety of delicious dishes, home made and beautiful. The sea front is only a few steps away and I enjoyed walking along the sea promenade to the cafés - and walking along the sea shore. I felt looked after and cared for by Sinead and Chris. Exceptional hosts, Rob and Lynne were amazing. Wonderful breakfasts, slightly different each day with a local touch. Lovely room with very comfy beds. Bus stop to get into town very close by.

I stayed in a single room and it was spotless clean and very comfortable, tastefully furnished and well equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The guesthouse is located in a quiet neighbourhood (I even saw an owl), about 10-15 minute bus ride from the old town, two bus stops are just steps away. Abe is a wonderful host. I arrived late in the evening and then had to leave very early on two occasions and Abe was very kind and accommodating, he made sure to bring me breakfast the night before. I won’t hesitate to book here again.
