Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Y Fan is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Caerphilly, 12 km from Cardiff University. We were visiting Caerphilly for the final stage of the 2023 Tour of Britain Bicycle Race. Y Fan was a great place to stay. It was within walking distance of the Castle (must see!!), where the end of the race took place. Y Fan is a beautifully appointed redo of an older building. The room was comfortable and the en-suite bath was one of the nicer ones we encountered on our trip. A full English breakfast was included in the price, there was plenty of it and it was delicious, right down (or up) to the French press coffee. There are great indoor spaces for relaxing, games and music, and there are tables to relax outdoors and enjoy the sunset. We very much enjoyed our trip to Caerphilly and our stay at Y Fan.

Amazing beautiful 200 years old house with big gardens on 4 hectare land. The photos on the websites are just as beautiful as the reality. The host, Harry and Nicola have been taking care of the house very well, thinking of every details that the guest need during their stay. On top of all that, the services from the host is really excellent. When we arrived late at night, Nicola served a dinner with 2 glasses of wine for the two of us. It was just a very delicious dinner that we ever had. They dedicated their life to give the best to their guests. This is just the right and amazing place to stay, you will have a mesmerized memory by staying on this property.

Ty Castell Guest House is situated in Caerphilly, 13 km from University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus, 13 km from Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, as well as 14 km from Cardiff Castle. I can name several arguments in favour of Ty Castell Guest House : Parking on site. A clean room. Quiet at night. Town center with pubs, restaurants and castle accessible by foot. Full english breakfast. However, what makes the establishment stand out among peers is the sincere hospitality of its owner. I was warmly welcomed by Steve upon arrival. He provided me with good suggestions for dinner. He also took time for conversation, something any lone traveler can appreciate. Steve is the heart and soul of Ty Castell Guest House and he will go out of his way to make your stay pleasant and memorable.

Set 1.1 km from Abergavenny town centre, Cherryberry Lodges has barbecue facilities and garden. Quirky and comfy accommodation with a friendly and helpful host. Had my own lounge, which was nice.
