Located in Avoch, the recently renovated Room at the Back, 2 George Street provides accommodation 18 km from Inverness Castle and 18 km from Inverness Railway Station. Rachael was really friendly and helpful and she went out of her way to help me explore the Fairy Glen hiking trail in the limited time I was there. The location was nice and central to what I wanted to see. Bus stops were very close, which made traveling easy. And I loved the personal touch with a handwritten welcome note, flowers and a little card.

The breakfast was excellent. There was something for everyone and it was well-prepared. The vegetarian haggis was a real favourite of mine.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated St Duthus Villa Guesthouse offers accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Really gorgious guesthouse. I stayed just one night but fully enjoyed my stay. Very clean, new and comfy rooms, friendly staff, nice and tasty continental breakfast. Plenty of walk around in beautiful area. 5 minutes to Tain center. Loved it and hopefully will visit again.

Set in Dalneigh and only 1.5 km from Inverness Castle, Kinnoch Lodge offers accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. Very very nice B&B, super friendly owner that makes amazing breakfast and has great recommendations for dinner/pubs. Lovely room, comfy beds and spacious, beautiful bathroom. will come again!

Beinn Mhor Lodge is set in the Inverness City Centre district of Inverness, 2.7 km from Inverness Railway Station, 3.4 km from University of the Highlands and Islands, Inverness and 13 km from Castle... Marianne was a wonderful host! She made us feel so welcome and at home. Her home and guest house was an absolute treasure, shame that we couldn’t stay longer. She provided us with so many helpful recommendations and we look forward to coming back one day. Would recommend to anyone, a very short drive to town too!
