Everything! This one night stay was the highlight of our stays - and we loved the other two places in Chelsea and Trafalgar Square….but to stay in a 41 ft. BEAUTIFUL cabin cruiser for the night in such a historic place (St, Katherine’s docks were bombed in the ‘41 blitz so all buildings surrounding the marina are new because of that) this was the epitome of cool! Our friends here in Canada got such a kick out of the fact that we did this! And to find such a gem on booking.com - who knew! Directly beside the Tower Bridge!!!! The owner and our host Mark….what a fabulous fellow, to share his beautiful boat enabling travellers such a unique experience. Mark - thank YOU so much. For greeting us at our arrival, showing us around your beautiful boat! You can’t know how much this one night stay meant to us for our first night! My daughter was sceptical….I’m 62 and knew when we booked it just felt right! And it was…It was magical! (She agrees) And the surrounding restaurants, the safety we felt in the marina, the beautiful blue boat lights at night, and a very comfortable sleep too! THANK YOU again!

The location is stunning a proper little oasis in the middle of a noisy city. Easy to get to on public transport. Just fabulous.

A wonderful alternative to a hotel room in London. Being on the Thames means you not only experience the tides but see a big range of bird life around the boat and also in the beautiful park next door. The toilet and shower areas are small, but to be expected on a boat. Didn't bother us. Tomas and Jo are lovely hosts. The bed was comfortable and the continental breakfast was good especially with fresh croissants every morning from the local shop, plus a tea pot of good, strong English tea! Thank you, Tomas and Jo for helping with our Uber and phone issue when we left. Took a weight off our minds, for sure! We'll be back one day! 👍

There are no words to describe how incredible Thistle Dream is, if you are in doubt whether to book, please do! The boat feels utterly luxurious and being on the water in such beautiful accommodation is simply magical. The boat suits sun and rain (we were lucky to experience a downpour during a beautiful sunny weekend) and I can imagine how very cosy it would be in the cold too with central heating and a heated mattress, along with snuggly blankets. We were truly gutted to leave and I'm already dreaming of returning and missing the ducks that live next door. The photos don't do it justice, all expectations exceeded.

The Boathouse in Paddington, Central London, is located on the Floating Pocket Park, and offers boutique boat accommodation with free WiFi. Spacious, modern, clean, fun! Staff there to welcome us and show us around the boat. A great selection of books. Really cozy vibe in the evening. We lovely sitting on the top for breakfast 😊 The bed is sooo comfy!

Highly recommended for a unique and peaceful London adventure. Immaculately maintained with vintage charm, the boat offered all of the comforts of home. It offered great value for money for the facilities and location (it was half what I would have paid for a hotel). The beds are double sized and comfortable. I'm 6'4" and I didn't have any problems with headroom on the boat. If you book a hotel, you can't call yourself a Captain can you?
