It was even better than expected! The loft was absolutely lovely and cozy. It was a peaceful and quiet area not far from town. The Wi-Fi was excellent, despite mornings that it might not work well. The host was friendly and accommodating, even though we arrived late.

Brecon isn’t a big place so everywhere in the village is within walking distance. Christine is fantastic. She’ll help you with anything you need.
The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed.
Breakfasts were fantastic.

From the town with independent shops to the breathtaking walks this is a lovely place to spend some time to take in the Welsh scenery. There is plenty of parking and places to stay and prices are reasonable. The museums and community centres are not to be missed.

Our visit to Brecon was to meet friends and celebrate a milestone birthday. We had a fantastic bit short trip and regretted not having more time to explore the town more as well as the local countryside.

Spent two whole days sightseeing in brecon itself.
Spent two whole days sightseeing in brecon itself. Other days went out to visit, wales ape and monkey sanctuary, Henrhyd waterfalls were well worth the walk down the shale track, visited Blaenavon mining museum and visited Aberfan. Each route had ideal motorcycling road and spectacular countryside views. There are also other places to visit but did not have time to visit them all. Would recommend the area for views and for walkers, lovely spots for picnics. Absulutely fantastic

The hotel was clean neat and tidy. The people on reception were polite & courteous. The restaurant food was good.
There is no service between lunch and dinner - so it means a trip out if you need a snack.
I was using the hotel as a half way stop so didn’t explore the area.. sorry.

It’s a lovely town with a lot of character and good places to eat and drink.
The surrounding area is stunning. For those wanting to go up Pen y Fan and other peaks, Brecon is a perfect base.
I will be going back for sure!

I Loved the Place, the area is a National Treasure.
I had some great shopping experiences
Sorry, but I do not do churches / cathedrals or cemeteries, those days have long past, I much prefer to shop along the high street and visit a Tea Room or Charity Shop, or best of all a Market / Fete.
Top tip for those eating at a Pub or two, expect mediocre Food and London Prices here, I believe it is that they feel with such a massive audience they can get away with it. Of all the places we ate, The Tea Rooms at Wye-Not-Stop Llyswen, Brecon, LD3 0UR Has to be our Favourite place to eat, and what a cracking name.

The cottage is located in a small hamlet which is so peaceful. It is equipped with pretty much everything you would need for a stay away. The location meant that you were within 10-15 minutes of Brecon town centre & the surrounding hills.
The standard of finish was exceptional & I would recommend it to anyone, also we’ll be certainly going back, as there’s plenty of walks to do in a wonderful part of the country.
Josh & Jess were perfect hosts who made sure they were on hand to meet us on arrival.
There was a very homely feel to this property the moment we went through the door. The property is very well equipped and furnished to a high standard. We especially liked the fantastic shower and the log burner in the living room. Our host had supplied milk, a lovely Barra Brith and even a bottle of wine. It proved to be a perfect location for exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park and beyond. We would certainly return.
We stopped here at the last moment after traveling for 24+ hours from the US. They were able to accommodate us on short notice and let us check in early - we slept 16 hours in a very comfy bed and woke up almost jet lag free the next morning to a delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend the pizza for dinner! It was a perfect start to our honeymoon, and we can't wait to come back when we move to Wales in a couple years.
Stayed here for 2 nights visiting the Brecon Beacons, was perfect really - the host is very kind and accommodating (and has a lovely cat :D). Good size bedroom, comfy, and clean - as is the bathroom/kitchen (shared) and little conservatory/dining area you get for yourself. Quiet and peaceful too. Not far from Brecon itself either for shops/food. Bonus point parking spot around the back off the road.
An amazing place to stay! Great location for Pen Y Fan and for other fab walks in the Brecon Beacons. The town of Brecon is lovely, some great restaurants and cafes and the cathedral is a must see.
Mount Street house is a beautiful guest house, super comfy beds and lovely facilities. The breakfast was amazing, local produce and freshly cooked to order. We will definitely be back! Thank you :)
Cleaners were super nice, you got tea, hot chocolate, cookies supply to your room which is equipped with a kettle. Breakfast was good - classical English style breakfast + cool marmalades. The only thing missing there were some raw veggies, something like a salad bar.
The location is awesome, Brecon is a lovely place to stay. There is space for small walks and for day long hikes.
The cottage was amazing and the facilities were a great addition.
The view was outstanding, watching the sun rise every morning from the cottage window was beautiful.
Having access to the spa and pool after a day of exploring helped us to relax and unwind.
The children loved having their own upstairs space along with all the outside space for playing and running around.
Great breakfast in the morning, the full English includes a continental breakfast too which was nice. The showers were hot and clean, room and toilets were warm and clean too. Plenty of free parking and a great location to explore the Brecon Beacons national park and really helpful staff, who suggested a good circular route from the door up to Fan Frynych.
We stayed in a superior room and had a lovely room with a very comfortable four poster bed. The location was central to Brecon town centre with a short 5 minute walk. Safe were very friendly and helpful went over and above to make you feel welcome. I would recommend the hotel for a night away. The food in the evening and breakfast was very good.
It was a lovely quaint but spacious property with everything we needed for a 6 night stay. Nice decor and all mod cons, good WiFi, great garden to relax in. Situated in a convenient location in which to explore the Brecon Beacons. Excellent contact from the owner throughout. Would recommend.
it was spacious, welcoming, and conveniently located. the kitchen was well equipped and the owner left breakfast on the counter and milk in the fridge. Great communication before, during and after our stay. We loved being right next to the river. wished we could have stayed longer.
Such a beautiful place right next to the town not even a 5 minute walk perfect tony is amazing a lovely host he goes out his way to make sure you have a fantastic stay and I had the best sleep ever bed was so comfortable and I would stay again
Great location for a two day stay in Brecon. Friendly hosts who left tea, coffee, milk, orange juice, bread, milk and cereal for breakfast. cottage was v clean. Beds v comfy - needed for a good night's sleep after climbing up Pen-y-Fan!
Couldn't fault the stay at all. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was excellent. Hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying here.
The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely shower. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Location was really good, within walking distance of Brecon town centre.
Staff polite, breakfast great, lovely clean fresh bedding, great location for exploring Brecon Beacons - which was exactly what I wanted - and close enough to town to walk
Excellent host highly recommend. Edward went above and beyond for us even offering to take us down and pick us up after a lovely meal in Brecon. Thank you Edward!
Large and spacious rooms to spread out luggage and relax. Center of village location. Ice cream store and small grocery just down the steps and around the corner.
