The location was ideal for us being central to our holiday plan. We enjoyed breakfast & dinner at the hotel throughout our 4 night stay. Breakfast was good as were dinners. Bar menu was more varied in the bar than the dining restaurant but it was possible to select from both menus. Overall quality was good. We were made to feel welcome by all the staff.

This was a very last minute booking, and what an absolute gem of a find this was. We were the first people to stay in the converted coach house, and it was PERFECT.... couldn't fault anything at all. Clearly a lot of thought had gone into it. The decor, lighting and furnishings were just lovely. The bedroom was vast, the bathroom was stunning, and it really was spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and comfy, and it was very quiet. The two young members of staff, I think they were Emily and Caoinhe, could not have done more to make us more welcome. There was ample parking, the pub was great, the food was really lovely, both breakfast and our evening meal....service was quick and efficient. We absolutely will be returning...just loved it.

The hotel was great value for money! Beds were clean and comfy. Quiet and peaceful location. Staff was really nice to us. Bathroom was okay, parking was easy. Beautiful, old style building.

Dingwall is an interesting town with shops worth visiting and other amenities for locals and visitors alike. The hotels have an important part to play in selling the town and area but my experience on this visit this was not being done.
Hotel receptionists and other staff have a crucial part to play in this process by welcoming guests and making them aware of the area's attractions and amenities - if the customer is interested.
Dingwall has some great individual shops but there was no attempt to find out why we were there and what could have been of interest to us.
Quaint independent shopping, excellent coffee shop three doors down from Harry's excellent bakery, Very good hiking , We did a great Strathpeffer to Dingwell hike up to and along the ridge, great views all around,

Didn't do much in Dingwall, used the hotel as a base, the main street very run down,if you don't mind driving beautiful scenery everywhere, especially in a trip to Ullapool,it was a very cold and frosty day, stunning,we ate lunch out wherever we went, and ate in the hotel at night,no complaints all round.

Dingwall is a very pleasant wee town in a beautiful part of the country and we found the locals to be very welcoming. It's on the rail route north from Inverness so is easy to get to if you don't want to drive. There a good selection of eating places and Inverness is only 12 miles away if you want a bit more to do.

Quaint little town in the southern highlands, just north of Inverness and away from the stresses of the city traffic… Dingwall provides the best of both worlds, with plenty to do in the local area, easy access to the surrounding areas and peaceful country vibes.
The bothy was at an excellent location, close to Dingwall and Inverness but far enough to enjoy the remoteness of Scotland. It was a very comfortable house with everything I needed and since I had quite some tough hikes before this stay it was great to have the luxury if this bothy. I spent 3 days here, one with a nice 7 mile walk around the bothy, the second day was spent in Inverness and the third day I had to drive for 1 hour to climb the An Teallach ridge. So much to do and everything close by.. loved it!
From when we first arrived and Gillian met us at our car with her two friendly dogs to help us with our bags to when she served us a delicious and hearty Scottish breakfast the following morning we could tell Gillian went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay in her guest house in Dingwall. The room was spacious, clean and comfy as well. The location was great - we walked to dinner and checked out the small but charming town of Dingwall. We are glad we stayed at Garfield Guesthouse.
We travelled from the isle of lewis and stayed over night at the hotel, we got a lovely welcome but first we had an evening meal and a drink ( which was excellent) and then we was shown to our bedroom which was beautiful! After good night's sleep we went down to a full Scottish breakfast that was superb, our little dog was with us and was made a fuss of with the staff. We would definitely recommend and look forward to going back again. Many thanks x
Went there because of the fact it was supposedly one of the most haunted places in Scotland - the green lady. Did not see her - but the hotel lives a bit off it's haunted reputation. The restaurant food was pretty average ( the pasta was really bad, the haggish was decent) - beds were average and rooms were a bit run down (except the bathroom whuch was great)
Was nice but too expensive for a quite average stay.
Location was great for getting into Dingwall and right by the station if we needed to get into Inverness. The accommodation was beautifully presented and decorated with everything very clean. Towels provided as well as all cleaning materials etc and basics for the kitchen. There was also breakfast items available for the first morning which was an unexpected surprise.
Great location..stunning home..thee most beautiful ..comfortable …immaculate room…we have ever had the pleasure to stay in! absolute perfection..our hostess Gillian the most wonderful lovely lady….her breakfast and breakfast room to die for….anyone coming to Dingwall will love Carnaby house! DO NOT MISS OUT!
Great attitude of the hosts, everything was perfectly prepared and clean, comfortable beds. Fridge, microwave, coffee and tea free of charge, chilled Belgian beer for a little cash. The breakfast was awesome. If you are traveling trough Dingwall this is great place for a rest.
It's cheap! And was available for us last minute when we needed to stay near Inverness for the night. The location is great. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance and not a far drive from Inverness. Breakfast was continental, but good!
Hotel was not the one we booked. We booked the Waverley hotel, however the owner was renovating the George hotel. We had to walk to the George hotel at end of the street. Rooms were OK, shower very poor and only continental breakfast. Poor value.
Great flat near the centre of Dingwall - but nice and quiet. Friendly host, well-equipped kitchen, good sized rooms, all mod cons, everything spotlessly clean. Heating easy to control. Handy location for the station and buses.
Friendly host, gave us lots of suggestions for where to eat in Dingwall. Also knowledgeable about nearby attractions and places to visit. A hearty breakfast was provided.
Central location in Dingwall, at the south end of the High Street and close to the railway station. Breakfast was complimentary and ample. TV was a nice bonus too.
This hotel was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in! The staff were exceptional and the room and food were equally fantastic. Highly recommend we will be back!
The view out of one of our three rooms was stupendous! The bar tender provided exceptional service. The common areas were inviting when there was a fire going.
