Quiet, clean and tidy. Easy to get to the town centre, well lit for a walk back at night. Well set up for breakfast in the room before we checked out. Friendly owner, very accommodating with allowing us to check in an hour early. Much appreciated. Perfect for what we needed.

My room was gorgeous, with a big comfortable bed, spacious and decorated really nicely, it felt classy and elegant. The pub and dining room looked lovely as well, although I only saw them as I passed through. There is a really nice, peaceful outside seating area with blankets provided in case it was chilly and set in a lovely wooded area.

Firstly, Guildford is a very busy little town, with a dual carriageway splitting the place in two. The cathedral is definitely worth a visit, stunning architecture and views of the surrounding area. Lots of choice for dining and drinking. If you like a trad pub with good choice of beer and live music, then try the Star on Quarry Street. Recommended.

Small town vibe.
Small town vibe. Very vibrant and l enjoyed the delicious cuisines. I don't like the fact that everything shuts down at 6pm even on a weekend.
The closing time should be looked into, especially on the weekends.

Bit tricky to find town centre.
Bit tricky to find town centre. Cobbled streets are lovely but not ideal for wheelchairs. Nice individual shops and eateries. The park and ride signage remains but is no longer running. Parked in York car park. The exit to town centre is on level 9 but no signage

Interesting castle with beautiful spring flowers.
A theatre with good range of performances.

A huge range of shops and coffee houses.
A huge range of shops and coffee houses. Everything is close walking distance of The Angel Posting House Hotel; 2 maybe even 3 shopping malls, so even if its raining you can shop. Unusual shops, one off shops and designer shops.
Information Centre in the High Street, very helpful and got a map of town and surrounding area within walking distance. We parked outside of the town on housing estate as parking limited and expensive in the town. We walked from there along the river about a mile into the town centre.

Lovely city.
Lovely city. We lived a few miles away until recently, so coming back is great! great shopping area, although covid etc has had an effect on shops.
Love the high end shops, G Live, pubs & restaurants.
Parking is expensive, so P&R is better, south of town or at the leisure centre.
Sue - the owner of this beautifully decorated and lovely B&B - at Acacia Villas was such an excellent host.
She made me feel very welcomed and went above and beyond to help me to make it to my destination the next day.
The room was very clean, warm, very comfortable, and centrally located only a 15 minute walk from Guildford Train Station.
Sue went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Guildford.
The sevice was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there.
The public area was surprisingly upmarket and with the dark wood panelling; i felt as if i had checked in to a Marriott.
It was a shame that we only needed the bed as there was a swimming pool and (unlike the Guildford Harbour Hotel which has a pool; resident guests have to pay £10 to use the pool for an hour.) probably a lovely breakfast; we did not get a chance to use either.
Would imagine their Christmas events with the right entertainment, would be equally traditional and feel like being in a Bing Cosby Christmas movie!
Fabulous location.
I have been visiting this hotel since mid 1980s.
Major major expansion and developments since I was last here 5 years ago.
Immaculate gardens.
It is possible despite what google maps and the hotel information to arrive at the entrance by public transport.
From Guildford Friary bus station which is very near the train station take the Dorking Compass bus.
15 mins ride.
very comfortable room, the restaurant was busy but the service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the food.
the breakfast was of good quality and served quickly.
the hotel is set in a lovely location for walking or for visiting Guildford and London is easily accessible by train.
The excellent quality of food whether it was breakfast or dinner. The spa relaxation facilities. The staff were all accommodating and very social. It felt like a resort more than just a hotel. The exquisite green natural area around the hotel which was ideal for walks in the afternoon.
The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The decor of the hotel was stylish and modern. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect as I was going to a show at G Live next door and there were lots of restaurants and bars in the area.
Staff were super friendly & helpful; nothing seemed too much trouble. Great location for Guildford town centre & train station with easy access to some beautiful walks in the Surrey hillside. Lovely modern sparking clean bathroom with really good shower.
Beautifully converted garage with every convenience necessary for a visit to Guildford. It's bright, spacious and less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Guildford's main shopping area. Definitely better than a bed only booking in a hotel.
Fantastic place, after recently staying in a spate of different hotels, this has certainly been the best. Very welcoming upon arrival, rooms extremely clean, well decorated and with a mira shower system.
Just what we needed for visiting friends. They were delighted with the place and found it spacious, comfy and well equipped. It's really close to Guildford Town centre and the railway station

We had such a lovely room, it was advertised as the smallest one but it was definitely big enough for us. We loved the hotel and we had a great breakfast as well.
