i knew THE GROSVENOR well many years ago but had not stayed there for many a year. Now having stayed overnight twice I compliment The Grosvenor that its' standard of service overall - staff / rooms/ general comfort and friendliness with courtesy not found so much these days in hotels was a joy to return to. I will be staying with you for one night stays on a very regular basis during my visits to Chester, Thank you it's good to know that such excellence (may I call it 'old fashionned') is still available.

My room was comfortable and there were lots of inviting places to sit downstairs. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. All the staff were really nice.

Booked last minute, writing note requesting shower as my fellow traveller senior and requesting reservation for dinner. On arrival, I discovered there was no evening meal offered, which was blow, given tired frailty of my companion. Staff responded splendidly finding accessible rooms with walk in shower, offering helpful suggestions for finding supper and delivering delightful breakfast in the morning to avoid struggle with steps up to the dining area.
Lovely location with river through gate in wall just on from hotel, and splendidly varied dining options just up the street in heart of old city. Parking overnight till 8am then 30 mins in some bays if you need to park close by but city has park and ride and has designated disabled carparks near centre. Nice biscuits and shower creams. Lovely staff.

The perfect stay in our apartment had everything we needed. We had dinner at the fox and grape which was lovely and very friendly. We also had lots of walk at bilberry woods just down the road which was beautiful.

Location - great, facilities - great. Would love to return in the Summer and make the most of the garden, outside table and chairs, and barbecue. Overall a really great apartment in a quiet location but with pubs, cafes and restaurants, and local shops within walking distance.

There is so much to see around the area, it is not far from Chester, or the Welsh resorts of Rhyl and Llandudno- there are plenty of amusements for the children, and plenty of lovely eating places too. On the whole the people are extremely friendly.
