The room was clean and spacious. Beds were super comfy. I slept like a log and we spent the majority of our time on our beds so the fact that we were comfortable was ideal. Breakfast was filling and freshly cooked. My son had the kippers which made a nice change for him as it's not something usually offered on a breakfast menu. I had the full english as I'm a creature of habit, both of which were just what we needed to set us up for the day and very reasonably priced too. We booked in advance which saved us a couple of pounds but would have happily paid the full price. Christmas day lunch in their sister restaurant was amazing and well worth the price. The staff in both sites were amazing, helpful, polite and courteous.
Part of the Leisureplex Hotel Group, The Imperial Hotel in Ilfracombe is located right on the seafront just 262 feet from the beach. The hotel has free parking and its own restaurant and cocktail bar....

The Devonian is a complete delight, the decor, the friendliness, the delicious breakfast, the location. Terence and Piper went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we wanted it to be. We stayed in the Olive Room which was beautifully decorated with such attention to detail. Thank you so much x
The Sherborne Lodge is located in Ilfracombe, a pretty seaside resort on the North Devon coast, with rugged green cliffs and an Iron Age fort standing 377 feet above sea level.

Great location - Illfracombe only a ten minute walk away. Room was small but adequate for our needs.
This farm offers 4-star rated accommodations in a peaceful location. You can see cows, pigs, sheep, ducks and chickens wandering the North Devon countryside, and there is free parking on site.

The owner explained that the range of breakfast was curtailed by Covid regulaions. It was just adequate as well-prepared but little choice. My room was large, clean and comfortable. The owner answered my questions about pubs and restaurants near bye.

Ilfracombe is a lovely place to visit, however please be aware how hilly it is. Walking down to harbour is easy but the return journey can be a bit of a slog.
Had gluten free fish and chips from Lynbay fish and chip shop.
Gluten free cream tea from St James tea garden.
Wasn't overly impressed with the beach as it mainly slate pebbles, but Woolacombe is not far away with golden sands.

Many part of this town including its HIGH STREET are looking terribly run down and rough. So too some pubs ...
I'm sure it will perk up in higher season but money needs to be spent on its appearance .
The streets felt as safe as most places in Britain and some Bistros and cafes were delightful. Roads are narrow and some extremely vertiginous . Parking can be an issue in high season I guess.

Ilfracombe is worth a visit and is probably better in the summer than when we visited. We preferred Woolacombe and Puttsborough beach is great for surfing. We walked around Baggy Point and saw some amazing views. Well worth a visit.

There were some really lovely parts of Ilfracombe and some not so nice , like most towns . Most of the architecture is stunning with old and new together but some new don't fit in. The scenery on the coast is amazing with lots of craggy coves and you can walk along the South West Coast Path . There is a small harbour where a stunning Damien Hirst statue is of Verity ,Statue of Justice if I remember correctly Parts of Ilfracombe are quite steep but there are slopes and some roads on the flat. We ate Sunday lunch at the Thatched Inn , had Breakfast at the Lime Kiln Cafe down by a cove . We loved it.

Lovely rugged coastline all still very natural.
Lovely rugged coastline all still very natural. The town however was a little disappointing in terms of felt a bit run down and lacking in investment in some areas. Worth a visit altho not too long as I think more useful to use as a base to travel than a holiday in as wasn’t enough to offer.

As we were attending a wedding it was a good location for us but probably not the right time of year for shopping etc as most of the shops were empty or closed down. I'm sure its much better in the summer!
The location is excellent, with stunning views of the harbour from 1 bedroom and direct views of the church in the other. It is very central to everything you want to visit in Ilfracombe.
The main lounge was nicely decorated and enjoyable enough for a conversation in the evening, but rather small for dining.
There were some lovely lamps in all rooms.
The host was lovely and communicative.
One of the few positives of The Symphony Ilfracombe is it's location; the hotel is on the seafront promenade, overlooking a small beach and was perfect walking distance to restaurants and bars in the town. Some of the younger staff were friendly, greeting us when we came in and helping us with parking information. The price of the hotel was also satisfactory.
Check in, out easy, very friendly staff, very clean in great location. Ilfracombe great town with lots of walks, eating places, great 2days, on a 6weeks tour around england so far Ilfracombe and Devon has been the best, Cornwall was very expensive Parking, Food, Ice creams and traffic jams will recommend Devon over Cornwall any day
Very nice hotel, with lots of original features, ongoing renovations but they don't impact on your stay. Nice airy rooms with excellent quality bed linen and towels, nice surprise was the small fridge, breakfast was freshly cooked and plenty of choice, very pleasant walk into the centre of Ilfracombe
Lovely top floor apartment ...great views over Ilfracombe. Clean and spacious. Comfy beds too, Lots of contact with host prior and during stay very helpful. We did not meet host but was given lots of useful info and was immediately contactable when we got confused over which apartment we had!
Warm welcome. Excellent suite with luxury bedding/ furniture/ toiletries. Exceptional choice for breakfast for every taste/ appetite. Fabulously grand building adapted well for a boutique hotel feel. Plenty of parking on site. Located just out of town, perfect to explore the area.
The hosts were very welcoming on arrival. The room was well decorated and the complimentary extras were a nice touch! The breakfast lived up to its fantastic reputation. I will definitely be staying at The Earlsdale again next time I’m in Ilfracombe.
Staff were friendly.
-We had a toilet leak in our room, this was rectified quickly & we were compensated by having free parking in the hotel car park & we appreciate this very much.
Good location for Ilfracombe beach & high street.
Was a lovely spacious room with a beautiful country view!
It had everything you need from a hotel room.
The walk into town was easy and only took around 10 mins.
We will definitely stay again next time we are in Ilfracombe!
The beautiful flat is spacious, cozy and clean. Kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom has a very good shower. The location is perfect, in a quiet area with parking nearby, close to the shops, the harbour and restaurants.
Great location, right on the beach. Coastal walk path to Ilfracombe harbour at the doorstep. Property is super clean and very well equipped. Netflix keeps the young adults entertained in the evening
Its clean, close to everything you need to see in ilfracombe. Close to bus stop. The staff is very approachable through text or call. Theres a nice common space and kitchen. The room is clean as well.
Nice and quiet, 15min walk from harbour area and town centre. Ideally situated to explore further afield and the stunning North Devon coastline. 15min car ride from the amazing Woolacombe beach.
Location was 5 to 10 min walk from harbour/town. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Clean hotel and the hospitality was 5 star. Breakfast was tasty. Really enjoyed our stay at the Norbury.
Donna and Paul were great, breakfast was lovely, room was fresh, new and clean with anti bac wipes provided.
Short drive to Ilfracombe Harbour which is also walkable from the hotel.
