Restaurant/bar and outdoor area nice, food marginal. Facilities need some attention.
The Lookout Rye is in the centre of the historical town of Rye, high on the East Cliff with views across the river. It has free Wi-Fi and paid parking.
Set amid 38 acres of woodland and gardens, 3 miles away from the historic towns of Hastings and Battle in East Sussex, the hotel is an ideal base to explore 1066 country.

Continental breakfast was delicious, staff were very helpful, polite and professional. Strawberries covered in a dark chocolate were a perfect treat at the end of the evening.
Thank you
The sand between your toes. Sky and beach as far as your eyes can see. Wonderful food made with love. Deeply comfortable beds in beautifully thought out bedrooms. Daily yoga and wellness classes.

Staff were exceptional. Could not do enough and were truly a major credit to the place. All impeccable.
Outstanding in all respects ! Restaurant menu excellent, with good selection of dishes. Bar had a good selection of ales, ciders and spirits. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We are already making plans for a return visit.

Location was excellent.
Location was excellent. Property was beautifully decorated and furnished. It was warm and cosy. Very comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend.
Loved Pett Level and Camber Beaches for walking. Also countryside walking. Loved a stroll through Rye town and Rye Harbour. Good hot chocolate, coffee, sausage rolls and cakes at c-side cabin on Pett Level Beach. Two Sawyers Pub is good for food and is a short walk from the cottage. Take a torch!

A lovely village to stay in.
A lovely village to stay in. Near to the country parks where the walking & views over the coast were beautiful. A short drive into Hastings (loved the crazy golf) & not to long a drive to Eastbourne & Beachy Head for even more amazing walks & scenery. Our stay at the Two Sawyers pub (in Pett), where we had excellent breakfast & evening meals, was lovely & comfortable with a warm welcome.
